New Ideas for Marked

Plotted some new things for Marked. This mostly happened because I was trying to write Psychosis and I always get ideas for something else whenever I try to write another series. I get my best ideas for Psychosis when I'm too busy to write. My inspiration is so ironic. -_-

I figured since Psychosis is SO involved in destiny and fate, it would make a nice twist to have Marked just be about the characters, mostly Raoul and Arye. I plan some other twists too, the best ones involving Tobias, Serafina, Javier, and Raoul. This also means I have to start from the beginning since I finally settled on my design for writing it, alternating between first-person Raoul and third-person Arye with some narrations tossed in from Elkin here and there. After all, Raoul and Arye can't be in every possible scene, being teenagers and all. Most of the story will be about them maturing as characters, with the werewolf stuff and the Cesar-villain mess worked in.

I also find it strange that even though Marked is supposed to be less angsty than Psychosis, it still manages to kill off ten characters, four of them being major. Damn! Psychosis boasts a meager 5-6. I haven't decided which it will be yet, but at least three deaths will be major.

I wish I could work Romulus more into this, but it's probably better that I just stick with Raoul since he's merely a stepping stone for Raoul's maturation. I'm going to work in some more Javier and Isis stuff just because I like Javier and he's just an all-around interesting character. I'm going to try my best to show a bit on every character, but my three main characters will be the large focus, on a much stronger level than those in Psychosis. I tend to give every character their say in that. It's better for showing the workings of the psyche.

All in all, I'm finally starting to really look forward to this new project. Maybe I'll even love it as much as Psychosis, though its ending will be more final. Its plot in general is more prevalent as well. We'll see how it goes.
