... oh god I don't know who I'm crying for anymore

These episodes were so painful. Tony and Jomy's relationship. Artella. MATSUKA. Matsuka being the one to save Keith from his fate, even in death. Tony unable to accept that he just killed a Mu. I loved watching how protective Matsuka was, his power actually rivaling Tony's for a bit there because it was so driven by love. Love that Keith ever spurned. Yet I can't be angry with him because that's just the way he is; Matsuka understood the truth and loved him regardless. It only makes him that much stronger. I'm also amazed that Matsuka was so devoted to Keith's orders, even when he could tell that something was drastically wrong. Only the feeling that Keith was dying drove him to defy Keith's word. I was happy to see that Keith finally let himself break down, if only for a moment, in front of the others at the knowledge of Matsuka's death. It made it all the more meaningful that he was the only one who really cared that Matsuka was gone. I don't know how Matsuka knew that Keith was crying for him, but I'm glad he did either way. After all he's been through, he deserved it.

I was more angry at Jomy throughout this episode than Keith, even though Keith was the one with the hostages. I think it's because it's what I expect from Keith, but seeing Jomy even considering to meet Keith's level disconcerted me. So I was glad when he came up with the plan for the elders. I will say he was as badass as ever in 21, defending his people and screwing over those soldiers with their pretty anti-psion gear. Type Blue says fuck you to special shields. His scene with Tony, where he was able to save him from his rage after failing with Tony's mother was also beautiful. I really do love the respect and love Tony has for his Grandpa. To me, it's more significant than the Tony/Artella thing, but I can respect that because I love devotion, and Artella proved that in spades. We all saw it coming from the flow of the episode though. Anyway, I still love Tony, and it tears me up to see him cry more than anyone I think.

I do wish they'd stop killing off my pretty boys. Serge is probably not long for this world either, although he gained kicking points when he tried to make the humans drop Corditts. "Oh look at me, I can be a hard ass like Keith too." NO YOU CAN'T. I'll accept that shit from Keith because he's Keith, but anyone else who tries deserves to get kicked in the nuts, pretty boy or nay. He redeemed himself only be his total freakout when he thought Keith had died. Keith has so many boyfriends.

Also, Sam. I could tell Sam was in trouble when he gave Keith his toy earlier. But seeing how much that probably broke Keith was painful, especially when Matsuka sensed it. I loved the scene where all Keith's boyfriends try to save him from death. Even Shiroe. Oh why couldn't you have lived longer, Shiroe? You and Keith could have been so beautiful together. And you and Matsuka could have had less violent Mu battles for his love. It would have been adorable.

I'm afraid for the final two episodes already because I have a good feeling what's going to go down. DON'T LEAVE ME, TERRA E.

I liked how the replaced the half-baked romance of Tony and Artella in the manga with something a bit more meaningful in the anime. They succeeded in transforming them for a whiny bunch to real kids/teenagers grappling with their emotions and duties. And poor Tony, breaking down like that after thinking himself (along with the Nazka children) invincible.

I was glad to see Shiroe, even in that brief between life or death thing ;o;

Yeah they were pretty lackluster in the manga. But I admit to having had some general issues with several of the things that go down in the manga, and the overall speed of the storytelling. I'm liking the anime version much better than any interpretation thus far. If only for the extended relationships between Jomy/Tony and Keith/Matsuka. Oh what will I do without my pretty princess Matsuka? ;; I'm going through withdrawal already.

Shiroe is always a sight for sore eyes. ^^

The last few episodes have been painful to watch, but the Keith and Matsuka parts in 22 were my favorite of the show I think. So beautiful and tragic. It was good seeing Shiroe again.... and Sam. It makes me watch to rewatch that part of the story again.

Jomy's actions don't really surprise me. He has been pretty focused on getting to Terra at nearly any cost for a while.
