Whilst I mope over having nobody to watch the debates with and yet remain strangely happy that at least my roommate won't be around this time. Her lack of knowledge of the Wall Street crisis sort of... injured me.
Also PR was totally anti-climatic and just like last season. Ew.
1. Zerozaku is wearing Lelouch's old suit.
- While this is romantic and all, it disregards the fact that Lelouch is a twig and Zerozaku would suffocate and die. Besides, like Lelouch would give up one last chance to make something special for his Suzaku. He had to make up for that Knight of Zero outfit after all. Nah, this is a special-made one just for Zerozaku.
2. Zerozaku can leave Nunnally/wherever he is at the end of the series at will.
- Biggest issue with this is the emphasis that Zerozaku *can't have a normal life, especially a double one like Lelouch used to lead. It's too risky. He's already pushing it just being with Nunnally, but they both need that, and it's what Lelouch would have wanted. That said, Zerozaku isn't going to be wandering around on his own unless he's doing Zero work. Sorry, no Gino visits people. No searches for R2. If you want Zerozaku to meet up with his old friends, I suggest serendipity while he's in the middle of his job... What is Zerozaku's job anyway? Note, Gino probably does not know who Zerozaku is. I'm still not even sure Gino was privy to the Zero = Lelouch talk. Some have suggested hooking him up with Cecile since she probably knows who Zerozaku is, but again, no double life for the Zerozaku. :(
3. Zerozaku would be HAPPY to see R2. (Assumes Code theory)
... Tough. It depends if your theory has Suzaku knowing about the Code or not. In the first case... I guess. It the second case: NO! Zerozaku would be FURIOUS. It would mean Lelouch lied to him and he would beat the crap out of him... Then eventually collapse on him in a sobbing heap of sadness. But yeah, he'd take it pretty badly at first. This was a promise after all, and both suffered. If you want Zerozaku to be "happy," I suggest taking the route where Suzaku knew about the Code. Though I do think he should also be somewhat depressed since Lelouch never wanted to live forever. Living forever pretty much defeats the purpose of "life" since there is no struggle, which Lelouch always championed.
That's all I've got for now. More to probably come later. This is fun.
But that newest sound episode did make me smile. I don't mind the crack anymore. Even if it is bittersweet.

It's complete and utter crack. The Knightmares are super cute.
Actually, I have an amendment to Complaint #1. I can accept him having Lelouch's old cape and obviously the helmet. But the suit itself... that's Zerozaku's!

Oh there are quite a few fics where Lelouch is actually dead. Some really good ones. I enjoy both the Code ones and the dead ones, and most have been well written. These points are just nitpickeries that keep popping up in most of them.

Found a few dead fics at last. I liked the dead ones better. Maybe it's because in the Code ones, they never actually address the bit about Suzaku dying of old age and Lelouch being alone again. Forever.
Suzaku can definitely psych himself into being Zero, defender of justice--he's already got two personalities, what's one more? His problem would be what to do if world peace and justice for all were attained--he would lose all purpose/will to live. Good thing that would never happen.

My friend and I have this terrible theory of Zombiezaku. But even that's going to suck when Suzaku ages. But also, I like the idea that with the Code, Lelouch would have to watch his loved ones die and would be alone. But he would also still have C.C.
I don't like the fics that describe Zerozaku as completely without emotion after 25. Or without emotion aside from bawling for Lelouch. Because I think the whole point of his "geass" is to live, and that means to truly live and stop wanting to die. He has a purpose now and he has Lelouch's wish to protect, along with Nunnally. He can't afford to be "dead inside" or whatever. He's Zero. The most fabulous champion of the people ever! Plus, I think it's important that he cried in 25, which is one of his first really strong showing of emotions in a while. Suzaku might be forbidden from an outside life, but he's not forbidden from feeling.

I thought the theory was that C.C. gave him her Code and she's mortal . . . Buh, I forgot the other theory about Charles' Code--too many theories floating around.
Zerozaku wonders where the heck Lelouch gets the energy to be so fabulous when he can't even pass Phys Ed--those cape flourishes and dramatic OTT hand gestures are tiring! Ten years down the road, he still can't do the fabulous sweeping hand motion as per Lelouch's specifications/Zero Standard. (Yes, those fan comics on the comm are funny . . .)

I'm still sticking to the theory that the Code bearer has to die to pass the Code. The user has to kill someone with the Code. It's the people's whatever excuse for why Lelouch still had Geass. Either that or you have to die to activate the Code.
I love the Zero Standard comics. XD

I thought Lancelot's Eject Button finally got some love. Even Tamaki can master the eject button--all Suzaku has to do is give in to the "Live" geass for a moment.
I remain in the dead camp.
Some people are born fabulous, some have fabulous-ness thrust upon them . . . to paraphrase my favourite musical. Dead-and-in-the-world-of-C or alive-in-a-hay-cart, Lelouch would have a running commentary on how it's not up to Zero Standard whenever they see a broadcast of Zerozaku making a speech. C.C. rolls her eyes and orders more pizza.

Yeah, it was probably the eject button.
Oh, I remain in the dead camp. Mostly. It's complicated. But there is Code theory in general since Code itself is a mystery, outside of Lelouch.
I predict ghostly hauntings to tell him HE'S DOING IT WRONG.

Lancelot can die happy, now that his eject button has had some love, and be recycled as tractor.
If they really do pull something official out to explain how EmperorRocket's Code got into his son, I might just cry.
". . . but the crotch on this outfit is insane! I can't spin-kick in this!"
"It was never made for spin-kicking in! Now listen when I'm trying to tell you that you're suppose to let the cape swing out like this!"
