First Impressions on Anime, New and Old

One, I'm pissed at myself for not getting into more series when they just started since some, LIKE FREAKIN' SUKISYO, are impossible to track down now. My interest in Sukisyo originates from some information that it gets angsty and less cracktastic. I love me my angsty shonen ai, as long as it's not overly forced. Might have to check up on that.

Gankutsuo: Yeah, I'm sticking with this one. Something about the characters really works with me, even though I know the Count remains a bastard (with little redeeming qualities unlike his novel counterpart) for almost all of the anime.

Loveless: I'm interested and not even sure why. No clue what to make of the kitty/adult thing going on. Also no clue what to make of Soubi. Ritsuka is darling but I fear he's going to be one of those manic ukes. The fighting boggles me but I sense something here. I'll follow it for a bit and see where it goes.

Meine Liebe: Going to give this one more shot but so far not my cup of tea. Ed's great but he's about the only one. The lack of expressions for the majority of the characters annoys me and I just want to slap Orphe. Cami, from what I've seen, is too stereotypical. Maybe they'll impress me with some more duels.

Not touching Tsubasa without a sub and Destiny needs to learn that it doesn't have to kill freakin' all the time to produce angst. It doesn't need love triangles with my Asuran either. *bangs head against desk* Why is it that the entire reason I watch this series is slowly falling apart?

I was thinking about going back to Monster but it's so far and Monster is quite slow. Maybe I'll just find me the manga and go with that. Bleach is still debateable. I know where to get the chapters needed to make watching the anime non-spoilerific but I fear my moral integrity. What's to keep me buying the Viz translations if I know what's going to happen? My greatest incentive to rush out to the comic store is to find out what happens next. If I know...well, let's just say I follow many series. Bleach is a good one but I don't know if it's something I'd go back and re-read a hundred times such as Naruto, Fake, Tokyo Babylon, parts of DNAngel (which I'm going to buy more Viz ones), Gravitation, and probably certain volumes of Yugiioh. The rest of the manga I buy I only buy because I want to know what will happen.
