Now that's how you do an anime movie
That fight between Wrathers and Gluttony was kick-ass, and Wrath was beautiful. I love him more than ever now. I'm sad that he had to go and so violently (bad Wolf's Rain flashbacks) but I'm happy he ended up with his Mommy again, his real mommy and not that bitch, Sloth. I would have liked Al to have helped in that fight but I think Wrath knew it was his battle alone. I can't decide who I love more, the tragic Munich!Alphonse or the bundle of angst and love that is normal Al. I loved how he kept communicating with Edward via the armor. That reunion scene was beautiful. Winry's new appearance makes her sexy. I also think I'm digging the Mustang more than I ever had. Mustang was pure gold throughout this thing. I'm still not sure what became of Envy, but as much as I hate him, I think he got shafted. I mean, he was a friggin' dragon. At least he got to kill his father like he wanted so much. Again, more scary overly violent Wolf's Rain flashbacks. I don't think people are made of that much blood. Not sure if I like gypsy!Rose or not but she didn't intefere too much so I don't mind her either way. I think Edward lost some of his smex with his new look but he's much more mature and he's a character I can really respect. Alphonse, I just wanted to eat up! He cheated to be with Ed in the end and though he's a dork, I love him even more. And OMG the Munich!Hughes is a Nazy scene almost killed me. I'm glad he came to his senses in the end. Munich!Glacia would have been side. Again, Hawkeye doesn't get near enough screentime, but I liked how they worked in time for the book chick and all of the military, especially Armstrong. Again, Roy flashing his flame-on techniques were killer. I giggled when he set up his own hot air balloon. The Elric bros work together scenes were probably my favorite of this. I'm just high on Elric brotherly love for the night. Winry was great with her suitcause of automail just in case. Edward just isn't whole without his automail. I can't believe they ditched Winry in the end. Those bastards! XD Al popping out of his old armor was a genius scene and so cute and symbolic at the same time. Anime!Hitler is giving me nightmares already. Bad-gal was lame. That could also be because the basic evil plot evaded me with my poor Japanese. This movie reminded me how poorly Al is suited for combat because of his naivety and innocence. But it just makes me want to snuggle him even more. He really loves befriending the armor. It's almost like his affinity. Overall, definitely my favorite anime series movie ever. It tied up all the loose ends and didn't kill my brothers. Elricest for all! ...platonic, that is.
Forgot to add that thank god, Edward got Alphonse to cut his hair so that they didn't have any freaky twincest going on to top everything off. XD You get that boy back in line, Ed.
