I liked Casino Royale. D: Like Catystorm said...well, it probably would stop Ian Fleming from turning in his grave. I'd surmise the man would've dug a mile wide hole in the cemetery by now. It's not the Movie Bond we know, but it's Bond, all right. As for the villain...well, Bond villains always change with the times, and this version's pretty decent cause-and-effectwise as far as 'greedy capitalist terrorist freaks' go. Part of the 'less threatening might and more threatening power of finances' trend. Though you might like the original Novel Villain better...he was a member of Soviet Intelligence Death Squad, IIRC.

Movie's not without its shortcomings, I'll concede. I'm okay with the UST, but the full-blown Fluffy Romance Scenes strained credibility. Some fight scenes were horribly drawn out. NO Q WHAT. (Although I appreciate the lessening of impossible gadgets that makes science look corny) I wanted a male M if they're really resetting bond. THE AIRPLANE. Some parts could use trimming. Too much exposition sometimes. I don't think you should like it or anything, but it's not so bad?
