On hiatus and still picking up fans
More and more people are latching onto the glory that is Geass, which makes my withdrawal return full force. Oz lessened it for a while, but hearing about the new fans and then reading the creators/seiyuu comments on GameFAQs just brings it all back. I love how Jun-kun and the gang ask each other after they finish their scripts: "Did you die? Hey me neither!" XD Oh Jun, how I adore you. Also, finally confirmation that Lelouch cannot geass animals. I always figured it in the back of my head, but it's good to finally know for sure. The original plan for the animal trap in 19 is almost as funny as having Kallen jump onto Gawain so she didn't kick Zero's ass for the pilot seat.
I'm probably going to essay about this later, but I've been thinking about people's speculation that Lelouch might actually be Suzaku's one-sided love. Part of me thinks it's cute, but it also stands in direct opposition to my steadfast belief that Lelouch loves Suzaku. Again, I point out I do not mean this sexually. I think Lelouch and sex still have to have their formal introduction. But first Lelouch has to stop ignoring his good friends the hormones. That and I'm fairly convinced Lelouch is for the most part straight. This doesn't mean I would call it OOC for him and Suzaku to be portrayed in a relationship; it just means I don't think he's going to even give other guys a second thought. You know, when that whole sex drive finally kicks in. Any way the point of this is, how can a love be one-sided if the other person does feel something for you? And what nine-year-old kid has a one-sided love? Suzaku, you's screwy in the head.
R x J still good, but I'm miffed that I got gypped out of my Whirlwind vs. Romeo fight. I want more characters now because if this series is the typical length, they're going to need to at least start introducing half of the cast now. I think the flirting in the next episode will keep me happy. Also, Romeo's such a momma's boy.
I still can't believe Toby turned on Keller, even after what happened. Keller's a liar but to think he'd do something like that, come on, Toby. I hope the kid really responsible gets killed. Maybe by Keller. I also love Ryan's messed up logic. He's not quite the repentant sinner, but he has his moments where you're almost convinced he really is sorry. I think he does at least regret the hurt he's caused Cyrill. What he did for Gloria also blew my mind, both aspects of it. I saw both coming though. The new Unit Manager of Emerald City really pisses me off, as I imagine he's supposed to. I can't wait to see him go down, and that bitch Claire with him. McManus and McMurphy need to get a room. When McManus was asking him if he wanted to go out to dinner, all I could think was "Doesn't McManus usually fuck people right after dinner?" I also want to see Sayid return to power because he's just good at it, and as much as I enjoy his interactions with Beecher, I like him better when he's a force to be reckoned with. I've also observed more nudity and graphic violence in this season than previous ones. This is also the season with 16 episodes. I'm still lost on what makes it so special.
