I can see again!!!
I keep telling myself I will watch Supernatural and/or a Kamen Rider series. And I keep not doing it. I think this is because when it comes to non-reading fandoms, I need someone to marathon things with, even if they have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I used to do this with Tom and with my brother. I can't even humor the notion of doing this with my roommate for reasons I have provided far too many times. So short of being kidnapped by fans of these series or having someone visit me, I'm getting the feeling it's just not happening. Sadness.
I caught up on PH! So so so good.
I am now prepared to go more into detail about how I felt about the ending of "Sea of Monsters" and how much I already love "Titan's Curse".
Let's do Book 2 first. My love of Tyson really made this book for me. I loved how the brothers truly came together at the end. I love how it was also pretty much Tyson saving the day throughout the end. I also loved the resurrection of Thalia as a major game change and Hermes' desperately wanting to reach his son. Hermes is cute. Luke loses so many points because while the Thalia thing was an awesome plan, it's not his. Him not figuring out that a person who is as willing to trust people as Percy would give Clarisse the Fleece also loses major points. I mean, he clearly trusted Luke when Luke was being weird. And Percy's obviously a good guy when he's not being pissy. I continue to shake my head at this character.
Onto Book 3. I'm not sure how I feel about Thalia since I want to like her, but she's a bit... off at times. I LOVE NICO. So so cute. I want to hug him and his adorable figurines forever. I also love Artemis. I have decided that she is my new favorite among the gods, mostly because of her hilarious manhate and girl harem. How can you not love the eternal teenage girl who has a girl harem? Apollo is a lot of fun too, especially with his shameless flirting. Someone once said that the second book fared better because there was less of Percy's mom, and I hate that I have to agree to this. Percy's mom, while nice, always slows things down. So I'm glad Book 3 breezed past her even quicker than the second. I am sad that I already know who Nico is the son of now (due to RP) because I never would have seen that coming!
