I want a Natsuo

Missed Avatar again, and the one time I have the chance to see it on a Saturday, they are re-running Southern Air Temple. Grr, I wanted to see young Zuko and his righteous rage. Not like I can use the crappy irc channel everyone suggests.

I love love love Natsuo and Youji. I most adore Natsuo's childish grin whenever he's excited or calling someone cute. He's almost like bordline crazy but extremely happy about it. How could I not love him? And he's smart too. Both him and Youji are. If I had a Youji, I would cosplay Natsuo in a heartbeat at Otakon. But since I don't want to deck Tom out in kitty ears and accessories, I shall just be my lonely, little Yayoi.

Soubi freaked me out in 9 because he was so insistent, my original problem with him in the beginning. But the way he does it, he seems so zoned and driven, like he's required or maybe because he's so desperate to have someone who cares for him. He doesn't know how else to express it other than affection and supplication. I'm starting to get the impression that something was off in his relationship with Seimei. As much of a hottie as Seimei is. I just don't know what to think of Soubi sometimes. But I'm no longer blaming him and instead focusing on his issues. I don't think Soubi really wants to pressure Ritsuka; he's just...programmed that way. *shrugs*

How come Ritsuka is the only one with a regular tail and everyone else's seems clipped. Someone brought this up a while back and I brushed it off but after seeing more than half the series, I want to know. I think this series would gain a wider audience if it weren't for the kitty elements. I know they represent the difference in the sexually mature, but I don't see what that matters either. I guess it does a bit for Yamato and Kouya, but it's not like Nagisa-sensei cares. I've yet to see any evidence that proves that the kitty elements are more than a quirk for the series, which has plenty of its own original concepts flying about. I think it could do just fine without them. While I get my kicks out of them, now that I *get* the storyline, I do believe they are a turn-off to people. It's all a matter of taste. But they make people see Lovless in a very jaded light. I want someone to explain to me why the kitty elements are so damn important. Or I could just chalk them up to being the artist's fancy and accept that if the ears scare of readers/watchers, there's not much one can do about it.

Just three more episodes? WHY?
