First impressions
Just want to say before bed that from what I've seen of Elfen Lied, I like it. I don't think it will be an all-time favorite, but it's an interesting watch and I enjoy the dark psychology of it all. I'm not a super-fan of Nyu anymore since her sexuality around Kouta got annoying. I more prefer Lucy since she has personality and evilness and Nana since she's just plain cute. I like Kouta when he's not around his idiot cousin. Yes, I hate Yuka more than all of them. God, incest + jealousy + selfishness + sucky personality = BITCH. I forgot to add that I love Kurama. He was my second main interest for even checking out this title once I learned about the storyline. He's both dimensional and hot. Mayu can be tolerable at times. So at this point this series exceeds where Gantz failed in having characters that I gave a damn about and females that I didn't want to take a bullet to. That and hauntingly beautiful music. Hate the OP and ED animation AKA "Nudity R Us" but the music more than makes up for it. I don't mind nudity when it has a purpose. In the opening/ending, Lucy is just naked for the sake of it.
EDIT: It offends me that the Wikipedia entry on Yugioh fanon all but bitches out the fans who refer to Jounouchi as Jou. Excuse me for not wanting to type out that long ass name every time I talk about him. Excuse me for being more accustomed to Joey than Jounouchi. I know that it's his surname. I know it's impolite to shorten a surname. But I also hate using his first name since nobody ever uses is; the same with my issue on calling Kaiba "Seto." So it's either Jou or Joey. And you can friggin' bite me, person who designed the fanon section of Wikipedia.
