Your Awesome Quote of Day: "I knew it was going to be bad. Look, I broke my lucky cigarette!"
I think if you're going to bash emoticons, you should also bash the Net speak. It's only fair. I am freakin' tired of seeing this come up during the comments on f_w. >___< Stoopid hors!
Another thing I tire of, people saying other people watch Naruto because it's popular. Popularity spreads interest yes since it gets the word out there. For some easily-swayed, popularity may be enough to start an addiction. But sometimes, people actually like the show! I didn't get into Naruto until somewhere near the end of the chuunin arc, despite knowing how popular it was, and really only tried it on a whim because it was at Pandora's and I have a birthday coming up. Then there was Sasuke. End of story. I know I bash Inuyasha until I'm blue in the face, but I don't rant at it for being popular, I rant at it for being pointless (no ending) and for producing so many braindead fangirls that just want to talk about how Seshy is their woobie or jam as many IY-based Mary Sues into every fandom possible. I'm certain there are perfectly sane fans who enjoy the characters or such, but they are vastly outnumbered by the sheer idiocy of the fandom. It's a shame.
I was so happy to see one of my favorite YamiKai fics updated on ffnet only to learn it was just a head-trip chapter and that it hasn't been updated for three months since. I'm not the type to pester people to write or tell them what to write, and it was nice to have something, I just wish that if it was a headtrip chapter, it could have ended with some real-world lines so I have something to hold onto before the inevitable hiatus. Sour grapes.I want more Kaiba.
