I put on my hat and wizard robe
Trip to CompSci land lasted a little longer than I expected, but I think I'm in a better mood. Mean Tom wouldn't let me hunt down a new book store to buy manga though. He said I can wait until Katuscon. That's what he thinks.
Caught up on some more Eyeshield. Hatred for Kid now gone since his participation in that beach football was great. He and Hiruma really do make a good team. His partner, the train guy, still freaks me out though. I think it's the lack of talking. I need to read 10 so I can laugh at their trip to Vegas. I just hope to find Hiruma sporting some classy gambling threads. I continue to miss Shin. There's just never enough Shin in Eyeshield. He's my second favorite character next to Hiruma. And Shin and Sena are getting mentally shipped now because he friggin' had hallucinations about him without a shirt.
Also watched some more Riff Trax. Even the MST3K people can't ignore the blatant gayness of Top Gun. Highway to the danger zone indeed. I honestly believe they put in the whole romantic subplot to convince people that Val Kilmer's character wasn't trying to jump Tom Cruise every five seconds. The whole interaction led Tom to asking whether Kilmer really was gay. We also watched Halloween, which I would have to classify as the most boring horror film ever. Wait, no that's The Grudge. This is close. Aside from learning that Mike Myers someone learned to be a ninja after being imprisoned in a mental institution since he was 6, I also learned that the same resourceful heroine who can think to attack with a coat hanger is dumb enough to drop the murder weapon by the killer not once but TWICE. Oh and there was Firewall, which would have sucked had it not included Harrison Ford jumping through a window and killing someone with a pick-ax.
Tom thrilled me with the marvels of bloodninja. I will probably waste some time learning more about the cyber-stalker on wikipedia when I'm done work.
Oh yeah, and the people who sold me my phone lied about what it can do so I can't actually upload mp3s on it. I'm contemplating returning it in protest since even the manual says I can upload mp3s, but the company provides no driver to enable the connection between the computer and the phone.
I have to catch up on Hikaru no Go and Death Note again.
