Where do your loyalties lie, dog of Britannia?

I just wanted to use the "dog" phrase because it makes me laugh. Truthfully, Suzaku has grown on me to the point where he's probably my third favorite character. C.C. and Kallen are vying for second place, but it's hard to choose when their screen time is so inconsistent.

Today has been weird. I meant to write but just ended up watching Escaflowne dubs. Why dubs you ask? Because I find them flippin' hilarious. They are sooo bad. Well, most of the guys are decent. With the HUGE exception of Dilandau whose VA is too many levels of wrong to quantify. I don't much care for his pretty boy Dragonslayers either. All of the Escaflowne girls are done tremendous disservices by their VAs. But all of this crappy acting makes for great torturous entertainment.

The other reason I've been putting myself through a slow painful death is because I can't read subtitles and make icons/layouts at the same time. New layout is a bit too large, but I didn't want to crop the pic anymore than I already did, and I really didn't want to start from scratch as far as the background. Combining pictures always wipes me out.

Naruto

With all my Sasuke squeeing, I have neglected the other aspects of this chapter. For starters, Orochimaru is looking quite fetching just before Sasuke busts in on him. I'm not a big fan of Orochimaru unless it's his younger self, but a pretty boy is a pretty boy, and Orochimaru looks gorgeous with his t-shirt and arm tattoos. I would argue that Orochimaru ends up looking more beautiful than Sasuke in this chapter. Orochimaru does have an advantage though in being all wounded, whereas Sasuke is fit and fiery. I missed CurseSeal!Sasuke. It gives his pale ass color.

Also the interaction between Neo Team 7 is something I've been aching for since the confrontation with Sasuke. We need more Sai and Sakura in general. Maybe now that the pod-person that Shikamaru became is gone, we can focus more on Neo Team 7 and get more of these adorable scenes. I loved watching Sai try to feed Naruto ramen. Of course Naruto's thoughts are still centered on Sasuke, but he is letting Sakura join the fantasies for once. I am more and more annoyed of Kakashi's presence. He's never been one of my favorites; I always found him boring. But now I just want him to not be around Neo Team 7.

I've already said my grand plans for the Oro/Sasuke situation more times than I really should.

Geass

My love for Suzaku grows as he continues his bull-headed drive to change Britannia from within. Watching him pursue his fight with Zero, even when he knew Britannia was firing missiles at their location, was so tragic. And Lelouch, who knows what an obstacle Suzaku is but can't bring himself to take the quickest route to dealing with him. I read on the anime blogs that Lelouch was going to geass Suzaku to save himself before the missiles hit. While this is probably true, I prefer the more optimistic view that Lelouch was also trying to save Suzaku in the process. Lelouch has still yet to show which is more important: his revenge or the only people who've ever represented family to him. I say this because he hasn't really been put to the test. This would be the first time, but the fact that both were in a life or death situation tilts the scale a bit. Then we have Suzaku, who doesn't know who Zero is. Someone said Zero was set on eliminating on the Lancelot pilot but was forced back to Lelouch when he learned it was Suzaku. So it remains to be seen whether Suzaku's steadfast devotion to his peace will override his loyalty to his friend once he learns who Zero is. The first picture drama has Lelouch calling Suzaku his worst enemy. While I fear this eventuality because I enjoy the relationship between the boys, I'm curious to see how it will come about. I would hope that the eventually end up working together, but it does not seem to be in Geass' nature.

Diethard scares the shit out of me, and I see him as causing a major problem for Lelouch in the near future. I think he might make another attempt to off Suzaku. I think if anyone takes him out of the picture, it will be Kallen. The two seem to have the greatest respect for Zero, but both have entirely different views of what Zero is. While Kallen wants the leader, Diethard wants the bloodthirsty revolutionist. Now that I've seen Kallen willing to risk everything for Zero, I wonder how she and Suzaku will fair during the island arc. Will she try to win over Suzaku as Zero tried?

I am really tired of any storyline with Nina. I already know it's going to be crappy so I don't care. Shirley, on the other hand, I'm interested in since she knows who Zero is and has knowledge he killed her father. I also fear they're going to butcher any potential Jeremiah had with his new form.

I've read mixed reviews about how Nunnally feels about Suzaku's new position so I'd like a consensus.

*twitches again* Ah, I shall be slowly dying until Friday next week. I hate/love you! XDDD; And aw, I like Shikamaru, although only because he is so flawlessly brilliant. His personality has gotten somewhat wooden. I miss his lazy self. XD I considered drawing Sai, but his mid-drift...I don't do bodies...@__@;;;!!!
