Need more Geass fic now. Why does this not exist?

Bleh day. I was watching Wonderfalls and remembering how much I love Jaye. I'm still sad that show got canceled. It had an original idea, something few are after nowadays. Why isn't my W working half the time I push it? And why can't there be a "AU or school fic" filter at fanfiction.net so when I go looking for fic, I don't have to wade through the stupidity? Also, I again reiterate my point that if you cannot spell the basic concepts of your fic or don't even know what certain terms mean, why must you embarrass yourself in writing about them?

I need something to jump-start my Sasuke love again. Recommend me good fic. I'll read anything as long as it does a good job of capturing the way Sasuke used to be before he turned rather boring and invincible. I miss my other adorable failure.

Maybe I should read my huge pile of manga. At least I'm almost back up to date on Eyeshield. I should get back to Loveless and Death Note.

I'm also seriously considering writing Geass fic, even though I believe I suck at fanfiction because I wish to further and more seriously explore the Euphemia/Lelouch/Nunnally/Suzaku love square of complexity. Lelouch just needs to form a harem and be done with it.

Geass is incredibly hard to fic because of its hectic pace, and the fact that the characters are so complex. Not because complexity makes it hard to fic, complexity makes it easy----it's just that hectic+complex = a new can of worms every episode. THERE'RE TOO MANY TOPICS MY HEAD CANNOT KEEP UP WITH IT and too many ideas that are just sitting there baking in the sun. -_-

Nanaly is the real wild card in the square, though. We know she likes Suzaku and Lelouch, but how and how much? Going by her canon-killing manga I'd say---*is hit by a brick*

Geass being hard to fic is an UNDERSTATEMENT. You never know what's the lie, what's the truth and what's going to change by the next episode. I have enough trouble trying to keep on top of all the characters. Every time I think I know everything about them I need to know, something new and very important rears its head.

Canon-killing manga? XD I want more translations for Rebellion and more Counterattack in general. But as for Nunnally, I think she could have Euphemia's complex where she wants both, but she's slightly more subdued about it because she's Nunnally.

I've tried, you know. So many half-started projects. XD I do think my idea of the characters are adequately solid for ficcing, so far none of them has really revealed/done anything that goes beyond logical parameters yet (although they could be more shippy/cute/omgsquee/sexy/fangirlable/interested than expected). But they constantly open up new analysis paths and it's like AAARRRRGH. And also in ficcing Geass, you'd have to contend with the next episode mercilessly rendering your fic obsolete. >_>

You know, Nightmare of Nunnally. XD I like the manga, but it's really really cracky. Would love to help with Rebellion and Counterattack, but alas the RAWs are all in Chinese, which means I'm about as useful as a brick. I have the first volume of Rebellion, though, and I can tell it flows and looks much, much better in tankoubon format than in RAW. The art looks less cutesy (I suppose it's the effect of the blur) and Lelouch looks less emo and more QUIET RAGE.

This is perhaps the most dangerous truth of them all.

Nightmare frightens me in more ways than possible. I'm not sure if it's semi-possessed Nunnally in general or that terrifying Knightmare she uses. I just want the translations to when Euphie shows up in Rebellion or a summary; I don't think anyone posted anything like that. And Counterattack, I just want the raws because Counterattack is beautiful. I might go look for the Rebellion volume at Acen. Heh quiet rage.

'Quiet rage' can be another way of saying 'the artist kinda sucks at emotions' or 'Lelouch is OOC lol', since anime!Lelouch's rage is ANYTHING but quiet. XD His personality somehow gets across better in tank form, though.

Nunnally gets de-possessed in Ch.3 and I'm not sure how that works, but. I think it's the absence of familiar plot elements...looks like she might even be fighting against Zero, oh the irony. (Lelouch is OOC in both Rebellion and Nightmare, not that I've read Counterattack, woe. In one, he's too quiet and inexpressive. In another, his speech format works like Typical Hotblooded Shounen Hero, though his personality got so little screentime. I don't blame the mangaka, though, Anime!Lelouch is a complex little bastard)

I'm with you on the "AU/School Fic" filter on the cesspool. Trying to wad through those fics in certain sections (*glares in CCS' direction*) is like sieving through pig crap for a rock. Which may or may not be shiny and pretty. And usually isn't.

As for Geass being impossible to fic. I don't think I'd touch it until after the series is over. Mostly for the reason mentioned (constant canon chaos).

I think I'd need to marathon the entire series just to get an idea of characterization...

I want to wait, but since we don't know when the final two episodes are coming, this puts me on edge. I do so enjoy reading fic for my favorite series. Geass has plenty of fanart. I just wish I could read Japanese because then I could enjoy the writing pages too. I'm not so pathetic as to use Babelfish to translate them.

That might be a good idea of how to be 100% solid.
