The downfall of communication

Since I am stalling my writing, as my brain does not want to provide anything useful, I will update whoever cares on my random search for net terms. I am totally not Net savvy so when people use Netspeak or IRC speak, I think they are talking a second language. The other day I decided I wanted to remedy this so I knew if people were insulting me or whatever character they were discussing when replying to a forum comment.

My current learnings:

-gg. This one I always had some inkling of, although I associated it with good god or good going so I guess I wasn't too far off. I like this one.
-OTL and orz. I had absolutely no idea at all about these two, especially since they are used interchangeable and upon first glance seem to have nothing to do with each other. I won't be using these since I consider them retarded.
-IIRC. This one is just the epitome of lazy. It's worse than btw for by the way. When I see this one, I want to smack someone upside the head.
-pwn. Ok, I've known this one for a while. I just wanted to look up its history and it amuses me that it's basically a typo that got out of hand.

Anyone else got some commonly used Netspeak for me to waste my time looking up?

Oh yeah I forgot, I'm also looking for a summary to Lamento. I don't care which story it is. Any of them will do. I just want to know what that game is actually about since I very much doubt I'll buy it.

Someone posted something amusing on GameFAQs that I totally agree with.

Speaking of Shirley:
Episode 1: calls Lelouch, setting his phone off while he's hiding, esentially killing him, save for CC's intervention.

Episode 12: wtf steals a kiss

Episode 13: Attempts to kill him as Zero, also lets Viletta find out his identity (time-wise, not story-wise)

Episode 14: Attempts to kill him as Lelouch

Episode 21: Shouts Euphemia-sama, nearly causing his and Nunnally's identities to be exposed.

Doesn't everyone agree that she is extremely bad luck for Lelouch?

They do have a point.

What the hell is OTL and orz?

As far as my wiki knowledge has taught me, it's supposed to represent a figure with their head bent in shame; it's symbolic of failure and despair. Sad huh?

You know, I think I knew that. I think I will stick with my dancing men. \o/

OTL kind of look like a person sitting in a chair, if you look at it sideways. :|

I'm fluent in 1337('/35, 700 |\/||_|(|-| |=|233 7||\/|3), but sometimes net-speak just baffles me.

Stuff like IAWTC(I agree with that comment) used to baffle me, and tl;dr(to long; didn't read).

Eh, netspeak. XD

There was a power rings comic that was done entirely in netspeak... There was one that no one I asked knew...

It was OTZ... I wonder if that has anything to do with you findings above.

>_< But I love OTL and orz
If you look at it sideways, it's actually a person on his hands and knees. Like "wargh fail!!!" sorta expression. I also like using it like this: OTL||| (3 lines at the back being those lines you see when an anime character is depressed XD)

Yay, I love them too. OTL|||

There's also fun stuff like ノ乙(、ン、)

Good times, they are~
