You know, at first I was fine with the tragic/melancholy nature of Oz. But one can only take so many instances of watching characters struggle past their problems and truly redeeming themselves only to have another's selfish decision destroy everything they have accomplished. I know it's probably against the entire them of the show, but just once I want someone to succeed. I want Miguel to be all right. Or Omar. Or Keller. Or the O'Reilly brothers. Or even McManus. I was satisfied the series finally fixed the horrific reconstruction they put Said through and have him back in a position where I don't have to scream at the monitor. I was also happy to see that bastard Aryan Robson get what was coming to him. But overall this season was just one massive depressing drop into the chasm with little hope of finding that one branch for the next season.

It's like the old saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

I did not intend to finish the entire season this weekend. I might even be done with the series by next weekend. What a depressing thought.
