Now that it's over, I can't help but feeling that SuzaEuphie as a pairing was there for, you know, the sake of being there, especially considering how the Japanese loves their Knight/Princess stories. (And then they also go the other market of Japanese pop culture and have brother/sister/prince/princess hilarity. Oh, Code Geass. You and your mainstreamness.) Its canon development is imo quite less smooth than LuluEuphie, despite how the latter got fewer scenes---heck, we see them actually enjoying each other's presence and not admiring it exactly once, and series doesn't spare them that much time to be together, even.

Although I'm one of those people who prefers the LuluEuphie side of that arrangement, I also like SuzaEuphie and it bothers me that they're...more like a symbol for Knight/Princess or one more Gundam reference Taniguchi wanted to chop to pieces. Speaking of structure alone, LuluEuphie is much more plot device than S/E, but somehow it managed to feel more...emotional? That doesn't sit right with me. :/

Although, that scan you posted from Knight is seriously questioning which route the manga went, if the manga #23 really happened that way.
