I finally got to watch The Queen. I don't know if it's historically accurate but watching Tony Blair fawn over the queen was adorable. I also couldn't help feeling awful for the queen, who was just struggling with years of tradition and all she ever knew. The media really does crucify people for whatever reason they can. It's one of the things I hate doing and try to do my best to avoid if at all possible. But enemies of the people sell papers just as strongly as bad news. I think I most enjoyed the movie if just for the stunning portrayal of life for the royal family, even if Charles did come across as a spineless bimbo in some scenes. The scene in which the little girl gives the flowers to the queen almost made me cry, as her people were bowing to her. I need to watch more British-themed movies now.
