"There's a place I've been looking for...."

I did catch up Pushing Daisies. I'm loving Olive more than ever this season. So I guess that puts True Blood 5 on the list. I forgot to mention that I am shallow and I do love Eric. Mmm viking vampire. Then I'll either watch Black Butler today or watch both episodes tomorrow. As for why I'm transcribing my plans, it helps me remember.

I shared my notion of a writer's special crazy with Gabi yesterday. If you've been reading this journal long enough, you've probably heard it. The basic premise is that all writers have to be somewhat crazy for it to work. After all, they lead double lives and carry the memories of both themselves and their characters. Writing is almost a case of MPD in a way. At least that's when it's most fun.

Speaking of fun, I got bored with the pickings of ffnet (after having a strange craving for Takouji -- I want to watch Frontier again -- and Gundam last night) and headed over to the big boy's archive on adultffnet. While I expected it to be extremely disappointing, remembering my finds of yesteryear, I was pleasant surprised to run into some DELICIOUS offerings. I think I love Eline in all sorts of ways (she gave me EEE threesome fic). And whoever did "The Color Red." Not quite as good as "Weight of the World" but still very very nice.

And then there's this, which is just beautiful beyond words and now my desktop.

ETA: Miracle of miracles. I finally changed my layout. It's only been what a little less than two years.

By "Weight of the World", you don't mean this (http://cgkinkmeme.livejournal.com/767.html?thread=211711#t211711), do you? Almost sounds like you know who the author is. And if you do, well, this may just be me requesting a link to the author's page... >_>

(Still the best Turn 25 fic I've read, AND it doesn't drag on and on into an emo bawlfest.)

I do indeed! The same writer I'm praising in this post. XD

I didn't read all of her stuff as I was mostly after end-R2 jazz, but I do enjoy her style.

Awesome, thanks! I thought it was a damn shame that the writer was anon in the kink meme because I wanted to read more of her stuff, and now I can! \o/

Me too! I was pretty surprised to run into her in adultffnet of all places. I even like her noncon fic. sssssh.

Thank you. I'm glad someone else likes OT3-ness.

Although I actually came over to say that I did read the AU Twin theory about Lelouch and Fuuma, which kind of made sense even though I have never read X. Or is that X 1999? Er.

Pretty layout--OT3, yay!

... It just now occurred to me that you are Eline. XD Yes, I am that slow. I totally need to pimp more of your stuff. I even like the evil!Schneizel fic, and I rarely pimp noncon. But your Lelouch in that fic just makes me wibble, and your Knight of Zero is just so so good.

I meant what I said when I said your "Weight of the World" and the other writer's "The Color Red" are tied for my favorite R2 finale fics. They both capture the emotion and the delicious smut so beautifully.

I'm glad you like the layout. Me and text on images are not friends. |D;; Oh and thanks for your comments on my X crack. Fuuma and Lelouch are special boys.

I got carried away when writing the Evil!Schneizel fic.

Thank you again. But there wasn't much smut in that fic.

I admire people who do layouts. I don't do layouts because html and I are not friends.

You didn't give it a downer ending like I fear either. XD

Well no, but it was still sexy.

I wish I could learn to do really pretty layouts like some of the other LJ users.

Character death is still pretty much of a downer for me, so I still count it amongst one of the downer endings. What was the ending you feared?

Goes off to write "Weight of the World"--the Drunk Edition with purple prose for the kink-meme.

I think it requires html knowledge. About tables. And columns.

*Is fascinated by icon* That's not canon art, is it?

[identity profile] nayami.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I figured you'd kill them both. That's the way it sounded from the warnings in the first chapter so I was happy they way it worked out.

Oh icon. Icon is a magazine shot of Suzaku photoshopped by someone to make him look naked and then touched up by yours truly. I love it.

[identity profile] rheow.livejournal.com 2008-10-14 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Actually I was going to leave it as a hanging ending before the plot bunnies bit. Having them both die would be relatively less of a downer to me than leaving one of them alive to angst for all eternity. That's why I found the ending of R2 heartbreaking--mostly because Suzaku gets doomed to live without his friend.

Ah, fandom . . .
