I get a little embarrassed now and again thinking about how OMGFANGURL!!1 I was about FMA back in college when it first aired. I still like it, but the manga will always be my preferred love. But yeah, the fandom for FMA scares me. Which is why from the start when I joined fm_alchemist, I never wanted to watch the community, I just wanted to be able to get some information from there. The place is a den of hell.
