Catch a falling star~

Ben sums up my reaction to Lost this season. :\

Catching Fire, why must you make me want to stab things in the face. I shall share my conversation about this with Graham.

Me: BUT PEETA HAS SENSE.
Graham: You know that never matters in these things.
Me: If I was a girl, I'd want a guy with sense.
Me: ...
Me: ...
Graham: You finally admitted it.
Me: I hate you.

I'm a bit more forgiving of Katniss for wanting to love and stay with Gale after he nearly got whipped to death. It still sucks for Peeta, who is the most perceptive character of this entire series. I love his reaction to her asking him to run away with her. "You're not going anywhere." LOL Peeta knows his Katniss so well. I'm really enjoying the political intrigue with the president and Katniss, even if she's kind of dumb about the effect she's having on things. I blame it on her being too worried about her inner circle and still being a bit too young to really grasp things. It's clear Peeta and Gale do. That should probably piss me off actually. Um, go Haymitch!

Your quote of the week: "Yay! I can now own a gun and marry a man in DC, but I still can't vote for Congress." -- Guy reacting to gay couples marrying as D.C.'s gay marriage law becomes official.

That was my favorite part of Lost this week! WTF was up with that trailer for next week though?

I’m surprised you are so into the romance in Hunger Games. I recommended it to you mostly because it is one of the very few books that I like because of the plot and not the romance. I kind of hope Katniss ends up with no one because she doesn’t seem to be that into either of them.

Guys with sense don’t exist except in fiction.

Somehow it fascinates me that I am actually watching out for your progress. Am I right in my prediction that you are going to love Peeta more in this book?

And uhm, well, since I do love Peeta above all else and of course that includes ending up with Katniss, I was more hurt than anything for him during the Whipping. I'm not sure if you've reached that part where Katniss stayed with Gale and she woke up only to find Peeta staring at her sadly. It kills me. and that's not much of what he did for her in this book

AND UHM, GO HAYMITCH!

Trying not to read this. But as a heads up, try and keep any details about the book on the down low. I really don't want to be spoiled. I also don't want any hints about how I might feel since I get all invested in characters and hints about their welfare tends to work me up. Hence, me being slightly more on edge while reading this book than I was with "Hunger Games" because of something you said in an earlier comment.

You can comment on the things I mention in my ramblings, but please don't extend analysis beyond that point. I really really don't want spoilers. This is one of the few times I've exercised something akin to self-control toward reading a book. I don't want to skip ahead and I don't want any idea of what's going to happen. /o\
