Man, I hope LoL doesn't end up killing Sion, I will be so sad. This is the first anime I have really gotten into (minus fandom) in a long time. I'm kind of disappointed the fandom for Star Driver is so boring. I might write longer reviews on the recent episodes of both of these after I watch the new Star Driver tomorrow.

I also really enjoyed the premiere of Young Justice. The characters are probably far more quippy and bratty than they should be, but I really am loving Aqualad. Jesse McCartney as Robin is also amazing. And of course I have a soft spot for Kid Flash and Superboy. Though I'm thinking Aqualad/Superboy may end up my OTP.

I can kind of understand it. Star Driver is only just now getting out of the monster-of-the-week template, so there hasn't really been time to get really batshit yet.

I hear tell Star Driver is only 12 episodes long, and I think there is considerable storyline going on with the characters.

Urgh ANN has it down for 13 now, I'd swear that was 26 previously.

The problem is that... there were lots of hints towards characterisation but at the same time the show is being so deliberately throwaway or cagey with so much stuff that it's hard to really know what to take seriously or what to discard. There's a ton of stuff you can infer that simply hasn't been touched yet and we're only now getting onto the main trio's motivations, this late(?) in the show.

Yeah, I was mega-bummed when I learned how short it was. And I think FukuJun said you pretty much have the entire storyline by episode 9.

It's definitely not a great show by far, but I was just hoping fandom would give me more cracky stuff. That's really all I'm after from Star Driver, aside from my trio love. I think if it gets its act together for the next few episodes (unlikely from the recent preview), it can finish decently.

Have you ever read "Young Justice"? If anything, they were almost too serious! (Though Superboy can be forgiven in the situation and the fact that it's Kid Flash in place of Impulse and WHY IS THAT ANYWAY?!) but I agree, it was pretty good. I'm a little annoyed that the series isn't starting until January, though...
