I had it on but then I hit the main road, and four-wheel drive does not like normal roads. I was stupid and pushed it too fast because I cannot switch it off while driving for some reason. The cars behind me were annoyed I wasn't going fast enough. Long story short, there was a VERY LOUD NOISE and then it stopped acting like four-wheel drive. I shifted back to two-wheel, and when I tried to shift to four-wheel drive again later, it made that unhappy noise again. :(
