Shinn's craziness is a result of sexual frustration with Asuran and jealousy at Kira

Completely caught up with Destiny now. *is proud of going from 23 to 38 in one day*

-Rey is a Barbie doll. A crazy Barbie doll from hell who needs to stop manipulating Shinn. His relationship with Gil frightens me. Is he his son or yet another blond clone?
-As much as I love Heine, his death was his own stupid fault. He floated right in front of Stellar.
-Meer had a chance to stop sucking but ruined it by betraying Asuran and just being a doofus for Gil.
-Meryin is having plot forced upon her, same with the relationship between Luna and Shinn.
-I feel so bad for Shinn, unable to keep his promise to Stellar. Her death scene made me cry, even if it was a blatant FF7 rip-off.
-I have mixed feeling over Shinn defeating Kira. One, it's nice to see the god fall. Two, now Shinn will consider himself a god. Shinn needs a toiken loss too.
-Asuran's scream when he thinks Kira is dead destroys me. As does his look of pure joy when he sees Kira again, after being half-dead.
-Lacus needs more screen-time. Maybe if they stopped showing the Impulse construction scene every single time Shinn wants to go somewhere. And now he doesn't even pilot it, and I still have to sit through it.
-Spy Luna irritates me.
-I miss Auel and his genkiness.
-Destiny reminds me of Xenogears with its wings.
-I love watching Asuran's conflict throughout the series, but I can't shake the fear that he's not going to make it.
-I miss Freedmon. It was so pretty and always got the coolest themes.
-I miss the second ending theme. The newest OP and ED give neat images but the music blows.
-I have no clue how they are going to bring Shinn back to sanity since he's freakishly powerful and totally a puppet.

Dammit. Someone already apped the Digi-boys. Well, there's always Taito. I want to play with the Gundam boys, but I doubt I could ever manage Lacus or Cagalli. And the other girls suck.

I tend to agree with all of what you said. Luna pissed me off because her character was so completely destroyed for no reason. I do like Meyrin though, even if it was mostly forced I think it worked better then Luna/Shinn. x_x

Gah I worry about Athrun too. I just hope he ended up going through enough that he might have a happy ending. After all he has gone through I think he deserves some happiness. People say Kira has had it bad...but I feel more sorry for Athrun (mainly because he's my favorite character :D). I love conflicted Athrun, screw the people who want him to be perfect.

Ack. Meant to respond to this last night but got trapped sending Daiken fanart to a camp member. I forgot to add my general weirdness with Mwu into the post, and my bitching at him for breaking his promise to Shinn. Neo-Mwu is evil!

I saw absolutely no reason for Luna to suddenly become a spy. The entire plot came out of nowhere and seemed more in the vein of Rey, who later revealed himself to be quite the inquisitive one who likes lording over everyone else's lives. I also am unsure why it was Meyrin to help Asuran when Lunamaria is shown to have the most interest in him throughout Destiny. Meyrin came out of left field, and we're supposed to remember that she's been giving subtle hints of interest all this time. We barely get anything of her character until the episode when she helps Asuran escape, except for the fact that she thinks she's fat. I know the only reason they did it was because Asuran needed help getting out, and they needed someone to be there for Shinn after he "killed" Asuran. Though, I don't know why Shinn needs to have an actual relationship with her. He didn't have one with Stellar and I accepted them fine enough. I think I approved of Shinn/Stellar because it *wasn't* romantic. It was just Shinn realizing that deep down he's a kind guy and doesn't want people to hurt like him. Going to Luna so soon after losing Stellar is insulting to both characters. I don't get why Seed must always have a soap opera of love affairs to function. Its plot is strong enough without it. I love the story in Destiny.

I would like to believe that Asuran will get a happy ending in exchange for all he's put up with, but then again this is anime, and the redeemers tend to not make it. I feel bad for Kira too but that's because you can clearly see how much he hates fighting. He reminds me of Buck from "Call of the Wild" in the way that he would prefer to sun himself on hillsides but everyone keeps forcing him into violence. He has that beaten-dog expression to him all the time. I do believe Asuran has it worse since Asuran always manages to convince himself that he's doing the right thing, and when he's proven wrong, it's often devastating. Kira seems to be unsure of his path most of the time so it's ok if it wavers. I think the reason I prefer this season to Seed is because of its Asuran-centric nature.
