Kira, why do you do these things?
Still not in a mood to be active tonight. Overall slumpy all day. Watched/read stuffs though.
Destiny: I'll say that I liked this episode and only because the fights were so kick-ass. I never care about the fights unless it's the main characters going at it, and this episode delivered. Destiny, Justice and Freedom were beautiful. Yzak and Deakka continue to rock. Mwu lost purpose. Luna's around to confuse the hell out of Shinn. She gets props for fighting though, even if she was on the wrong side. She was holding her own against Asuran. As far as an ending episode? Suck out. I don't even like Rey, and I was pissed as hell at his death. I don't understand it. He killed Gil. Why did he want to explode with him? Why did Talia let him explode with him? I guess this is where those pills come into play, and I should remember Rey wasn't lasting too long either way. Kira just seemed so detached throughout the scene. I wanted to hit him. I understand why Asuran kicked Shinn to the curb. He did his best to get through to the lad, and Shinn wasn't having any of it. I still don't think he should have just left Luna and Shinn behind. I don't know what to think about Shinn. The boy's not ok. He needs some serious therapy. And Luna does not constitute therapy. What's with Stellar telling Shinn she'd see him tomorrow? Shinn needs to get over not being able to blow up Orb and move on. Cagalli was just there, like Mwu. I wanted kisses and I got none. That was not a resolution. It was a bunch of cool fights and a bunch of tacked on endings. The time they could have spent wrapping it was devoted to the SAME DAMN FLASHBACKS I HAVE SEEN A HUNDRED TIMES. Why not just have an entire ep of Shinn's family dying? Play it for 20 minutes. Nobody would notice the difference. We need the fabled 40 minute OVA for real. I either want an AsuCaga make-up, an KiraLacus make-out session or some scenes of Shinn's ultimate fate when it comes to his mental state. D+ Destiny. D+.
Avatar: Great episode. Sokka shows his smarts. Zuko finally lets the fangirls know the real reason he keeps around that necklace. Aang is less than perfect. And the fights. They were my favorite part. Where else do you see a bison taking on a gigantic weasel? Plus, the whole Zuko vs. Aang moment with the fire and air converged attack was very Sasuke vs. Naruto, with less subtext. They even blasted each other onto roofs. I want more Avatars eps like this.
I need Banana Fish 10 and Bleach 9 now because both of them are getting so good. I need to catch up on my of my manga reading. Angel Sanctuary is getting interesting too.
Naruto Dub: Don't like how they cut out the stabbing scene but kept the blood. Make up your minds! Liked Sasuke's delivery of the "scaredy-cat" line. Perfect.
Yugioh Dub: Didn't see since cable was out until 12 p.m. Came back on just after Yugioh should have ended. No British Thief King Bakura for me. I need to track down some dubbed AE arc.
