Father practically flung it at me like a leech when I made him pick it up. Then he went on about how the DVD would make more money than the film did in the theatres. I think that's when my addled brain responded with something like "Brokeback Mountain isn't about the money, it's about gay movie cowboys and the right to make a movie about gay movie cowboys. Gay movie cowboys rawk!" That's about the point where he closed the door on me.
Finally watched the new Digimon. Still not crazy about the art and I'm a little weirded out by the gang-styled relationship between the main character and the digimon, but they're interesting so I'll keep it up for a bit. Love the scarf-like digimon that hangs out on that one guy's shoulder. She's pretty and reminds me of the kitsune in Jing, the one volume of Jing I have. I want one. It's strange to have a Digimon series start with just one digibrat. And this one is OLD. Yes, in my world 14-years is old for a digibrat. It was different with the original bunch since they just grew up. I need more characters and less boring characters like Yoshino.
I'm going to start saving all of the decent Axel/Roxas and Riku/Sora fics I find into one file since it's hard to find them afterwards. I'm noticing a trend for stories that have really good premises to funkify everything with unrelated pairings, random crossovers or just bad characterization. Also, I may forget half the time that the Destiny Trio have parents but I don't go around saying they are abusive either. Maybe neglective. XD If I find one more fic that has either Sora or Riku's parent beating them up, I'm going to kick something. And please quit writing fics where everyone mocks Demyx. I know he can be a doofus but that's what makes him so loveable. And enough with the AUs, we have more than enough scenes to explore, we don't need "the new Keymaster...the new Organization members...the new whatever."
