tempestuously: ([gravi] nobel prize for evil?)
Not only am I going to be bored out of my skull this Labor Day, but I also have to go and do something with my roomie. Let me give a preview of how things looked last night.

Me: I just had another awesome convo with roomie
where she asked me where I wanted to eat tomorrow
I told her Italian
so she starts searching for.... Chinese restaurants
I tell her I thought we decided Italian
[livejournal.com profile] kadekmoment: . . . wow
Me: so five minutes later she asks if Hunan Manor is ok
... and at this point I just want to um PUNCH HER
[livejournal.com profile] kadekmoment: she's a special star
Me: she really is
Me: 10 to 1. when I wake up tomorrow, she'll talk about Chinese food
and if that doesn't happen, she will inevitably decide to go there ANYWAY
it will be epic
and I will strangle her
stay tuned!

My main goal today is to wash clothes and maybe start my assignments for work. And probably restart this computer since it's being an epic ho.

State of Play was everything I hoped it would be. It even made it possible to tolerate the Affleck, which is a serious accomplishment. My only quibble is the final third, which is entirely too drawn out. You do not show someone with a gun and then dick around for another 10 minutes without resolving WHERE THE HELL IS THE GUY WITH THE GUN. I watched the whole ending of the movie in fear because I never knew when the guy with the gun was going to reappear and kill someone in the face. It was very traumatic. But I loved this movie. I loved all the actors in it, even old as time Jeff Bridges. And Helen Mirren mmmmmmm. The soundtrack was good, the story was good, the characters were good and the mystery was good. Ok, so we all knew who the final "bad guy" was going to be but still, it was fun watching them get there. I want to buy this movie.

Yay for journalism! Note: The journalists in this movie are terribly unethical. :|b
