While I am unable to give my Universal theme park experience a raving review, I was completely satisfied, nay delighted, with Jurassic Park, part of their Islands of Adventure. Loved walking underneath the big arch with its burning torches, loved hanging in the discovery center. They had something that let you figure out what was inside "dino" eggs, let you look through dino eyes, let you mix your "dna" with "dino dna." The main eatery was made to look exactly like the one in the movie. There is only ONE movie in my world! ONE! Yep, it had a big T-rex skeleton and gift shop and all.

Everything had a pinch of cheesiness to it but it was cute and I enjoyed it all. The ride wasn't the best thing in the world but the T-Rex trying to eat you as you take that final dive was impressive. Kinda liked the Stegosauruses, the Hadrosaurs, and the Dilophasaurs. I cussed out everyone that shot water in my eye. Rode that ride twice. Had fun prancing around humming to the JP theme that plays in that section of the park at all times.

The best part was that Jurassic Park was almost like a completely separate entity to Islands of Adventure. All the JP staff wore the same JP uniform and whenever you exited rides or attractions, they never said enjoy your stay at Islands of Adventure, they said enjoy your stay at Jurassic Park. It was by far the best part of the park when it came to theme elements and storyline and believability. Even the cheesy animatronic live Triceratops had its own cuteness. The whole place was hemmed in "electric" fences and had some clever sounds effects to create the illusion of roaming dinos. I forced my family to remain there for most of the day since it was the best place to hang. We even stayed long enough to catch one of the JP rides with a 0 minute waiting line. And believe me, you find any ride in Universal with 0 minute waiting line and you are friggin' stunned! My devious padre even sneaked a quick polaroid of T-Rex in his final confrontation. Impressive since that shot was made right before the water plunge. Let's see how well those pics turned out.

Yep, if I lived in Florida and if the Endangered Species store could somehow be transplanted into Jurassic Park, working there would be my favorite job. I doubt I'd ever get tired of it. Universal may have be an overpriced venture, but Jurassic Park totally made my entire Florida vacation. *conveniently forgets busted computer* Dinosaurs kick ass!

And now for the exceptionally bored, the rest of my Universal theme parks review. )

And the WR marathon continues. I think I'm loving Cher and Hubb more than I originally did and I didn't think that was possible. Cher has the coolest face when she's annoyed. You definitely get the feel of Cheza/Kiba's previous connection when she shows up, but she's still a bit annoying with the wolf pimpstress act. I still want to know in ep 4, why Kiba seems to know the bit of war ground him and the pack wander onto so well. Notice they first play friends after Kiba saves Tsume from the machine. Cute. Realized Cole is probably a wolf too and now really want to know what happened to Zari's pack. Also tracking the changes of the moon in the end sequence. So far going from snowy to clear day snow to midday snow. I want to know for sure when the red moon sneaks into the picture. That evil red moon, causing all this trouble.
