tempestuously: (iconz_kthx-franz is molesticious)
Learned some scary lessons about life last night while playing the Sims 2. One, the Insiminator, while great fun, seriously diminishes the entertainment factor in playing since it does everything for you. I mean, it's amusing to de-age, super-age, pregnate (so wrong that it will work on brother and sisters as well), and suicide characters, but it's only a cheap thrill. I might use it for when my Sims adopt a kid and I want it to be a child immediately. Though I admit that Luce/Erik's kid was friggin' adorable. He was a mean little rat too. I'll probably just play the game from normal from now on with my fun new hacked objects that make dressing much easier.

After being gooberfied by the crack that was the Insiminator, I decided to do a little sleuthing. Found out Frienditto came back. I would care more but almost all of my friends only entries are about me bitching at fandom or my aunt. Contemplating locking down now that I have my journalism job though. Still just fangirling, but journalists have to be more wary than mosts. Meh, maybe I'm just being paranoid. Probably. But [livejournal.com profile] ditto_cops is back and they're amusing enough. That and I always wanted to know an evil person on the frienditto circuit because I want to know what the site *really* does and not twenty billion exaggerated claims. Mostly I'm curious if it will let you see locked entries of people who've friended you, even if you haven't friended them.

Sleuthed a bit about serial adder. Not like I actually care to do anything with the information. I was just bored. Tracked through a few lj sites. Uncovered some lesser known affiliations. Contemplated the meaning of [livejournal.com profile] existentialists and how that could tie into the whole mess. I'm sorry, I find most of these people posers, with only a few who actually care about Camus and his spacey theories. Talk about emo-children. Followed trail through friends and cryptic messages written in funky languages. Learned about [livejournal.com profile] abuse_lj_abuse and the double agents on the staff. I could say I solved the mystery, but that would imply caring. Either way, good method for killing about two hours. That and naming systems amuse me. Invisible. *chortles*

I go write...er...something now.

Huge thanks to [livejournal.com profile] quebelly for giving me this.

RENT! And already coming out this fall. I can hardly wait. Wow, I wasn't even aware they are using most of the original cast: Taye Diggs (Benny), Idina Menzel (Maureen), Adam Pascal (Roger), Anthony Rapp (Mark), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel) and Jesse L. Martin(Collins). They didn't get the original Mimi, but the new one looks really good. I'm still trying to figure out how they're going to do the oddball ending. Who cares? RENT!!

*goes to watch another hundred times*

No Rent love. *sniffles* Uncultured.

Been wandering about in Fandom Wank again. It makes me want to join [livejournal.com profile] playthedamncard because that place is a crackfest on acid, even when they're not fighting. More lively than the main Yugioh comm; that's for sure. I really got a kick out of the girl who felt that her sob story about molestation had to be known for people to understand why she was a bitch to Kisara. I don't mind using personal experence to explain a dislike of a character, but you can do it without the capslock emo-bitch fit of DOOM. Staying with Yugioh, the wank about the HP/X crossover/AU/humor fic wasn't half as amusing, but it did give me a wonderful line where someone says "Yugioh/X" crossover. The scary thing is that for a minute, my brain actually contemplated it. No, not just because it gives me the chance to lop Anzu's head off. (P.S. I don't really hate her; she's just boring to me. I still pair her with Yuugi.) Oooh, can Kaiba be Kanoe and slut all over Yami or should I say Dark Yuugi? No, I know what would make the best X crossover in the world. X and Hamtaro. That's gold! Ok...I'm done now. But really, most crossovers blow. Fusion all the way!
