Just in a random bitching mode before I write some Psychosis or whatever.
Last night's FMA was one of the best dub jobs in some time. Practically every line floored me. Roy sounded like he was totally coming onto Ed half the time. XD From that tangent, we shall reach my point. *ehem* FOR GOD'S SAKES PEOPLE, ED IS 15! AND ROY IS 20-SOMETHING OR OLDER! No! No! NO! While I am generally against really pairing up the Elric brothers with anyone (though I did have some Russel/Ed thoughts the other day), I really really hate it when people give Ed to someone who is totally older than him. Don't get me started on Envy/Ed. When decent writers buy into this mentality, it warps my brain even more. I mean, Kracken? *cries* WHY? Maybe if Ed were older, I would be all for this like the rest of the fangirls but I have definite issues against the sort of age difference. Now, people would scream hipocrisy. "Aren't you a Tsuzuki/Hisoka and Seishirou/Subaru fan?" they'll cry. ...yes BUT Hisoka is dead so age works funky there and Subaru...well, it just worked and I more prefer reading about their older versions when it comes to actual sex. On that note, a Roy/Ed relationship that doesn't end in sex or such wouldn't bother me. It would irk me because I can't see it at all, but I would accept because I admit there's something electrical behind that relationship and Roy is intensely supportive/protective of Edward. I also like most Roy/Ed fanart as long as they have CLOTHES ON. There's nothing wrong with fluff but sex between those two should wait at least a few years. Get Ed up to 17 or 18 and we'll talk.
As soon as I get the GSeed Destiny episode 16, I am so capping that scene of Asuran bitch-slapping Shinn and making an icon. ^^
