Other key moments include that moment in Spencer's when we found the male/female lamps and Billy just had to try turning them on. Since we are in Spencer's, it should be obvious where the switch on each figure was located. Well, Billy's being a goof and flicking the switch on and off when...IT BREAKS OFF! XD So then we are scrambling around trying to find the male lamp's "appendage," all the while trying not to get caught. When Billy recovers from the whole chaos, all he has to say is so it is true what they say about playing with it too much. So much wrongness tonight.

That doesn't include the huge fight over who would win in Naruto vs. One Piece, which for some reason invoked Captain Jack Sparrow. We were talking about the strengths of the Pirate King and I said Jack could take him. Billy said Jack is a Pirate King in his own right. Then I suggested Jack was Gold Rogers but that he faked his death like Captain Kuro did. It got odd after that. So instead we talked about Star Wars, where Billy's roommate suggested Han Solo was not "the Man" and we had to have it out with him. I mean, come on, he called Luke "the Man" and compared him to friggin' ANAKIN. There is NO comparison. Oh yeah, they also tricked me into admitting my whack slash theory about Han and Lando by insinuating that Han was gay. Bastards! Nobody knows about that fantasy. Well, now anyone who reads this LJ does so oh well.

Also played billards and watched more Coupling. Such a fucked-up and entirely amusing show.

On the bus today, our driver was new and quite pissy. First, she shows up late and then she bitches at the driver in front of us for not giving her room to pull out. THEN she won't move until the other bus moves so we spend another ten minutes of them fighting. *sigh* Maybe it's worth it to looking into a parking permit on campus.

The Yugioh episodes today made me so happy for some reason. Though, the Varon vs. Otogi and Rebecca was the best. That surprised me since it was the Kaiba vs. Amelda that I was looking forward to. It was just so adorable to watch Varon trying to impress Mai. I don't care if the American VA makes Varon sound like an Aussie, he's really good at capturing Varon's smitten attitude around Mai. I went "awww" several times. "Aww, he's going to kill the kids just for her. That's ADORABLE." Yeah, I have issues. And his voice when she leaves after the fight, "Hey, Mai, where ya going?" I felt so bad for the poor thing. As for the first part of the fight I've been waiting for for weeks, Amelda's American VA likes to deliver his lines like a gay man. He's more flamboyant than the Japanese Amelda. Kaiba and Mokuba had some cute lines there too. Tom loved Mokuba's scream when the plane was about to hit the mountain. I melted into fangirl glee at Amelda's flirtatious "Hellooo. Did you forget about me?" But they made Kaiba too pissy when it came to being around the children. I know it's hard for American writers to believe but although Kaiba is an asshole to everyone, he really does enjoy being around and making children happy. Some side effect of having a crap childhood. The American version of this scene made him too vicious. At least he was still sweet around the Mokuba-clone.

Shaman King was cute but I was surprised that Choco doubted Yoh for even a moment. Of course Ren was totally confident in Yoh's goodness. *snugs Ren* But next ep Hao is going to tempt Ren to join the dark side. Oh noes! The love spats between Yoh and Lyserg are equally amusing but Lyserg is still a bitch for hanging with the X-Laws.

I have some freakish desire to do Yugioh slash fic recommendations because I read some weird stuff and I'm trying to figure out why that is. It would probably be a combination of rec and review but not outright bashing like I usually do, more like picking pluses and minuses of each fic. Whether they fall into traps and make Kaiba an angel, turn Mokuba into a bastard, or give the yami halves their own bodies. Stuff like that. Since I won't be going to Phantom again until later, I have some time.

I went on another of my community creating sprees and made fic_for_thought, an ALL-FANDOM fanfiction review community. No idea how to pimp it yet. Maybe the usual suspects could pay a visit and add their own reviews to hide my ghastly Yugioh ones. XD

Yugioh: Live-Action

So yeah, Tom and I were in line for the Phantom and we started talking about "Finding Neverland." I was talking about how sweet the creator of Peter Pan was and how he generally appreciated children and not in the sick pedophile way. Then since I had Yugioh still on the brain, I added that he was just like Kaiba in this aspect. I soon realized I virtually compared Kaiba to Johnny Depp. It was a lame joke but Tom played along saying he could totally see Depp playing Kaiba in the live-action Yugioh movie. After this, we just started randomly assigning actors to characters with no particular reason or appeal.

( Our list o' crack. No sane person would take us seriously. Lots of invisible drugs were involved in its conception. )

Most of this can be blamed on the fact that I'm pretty drunk. XD

Forgot to bitch this morning about Sanji sounding like he has his nose in a pair of pliers. It's enough to drive me to the subs for sure. What a horrible intro ep.
