"And you and you, you're gonna love me!"
Jan. 15th, 2007 11:40 amI was researching Dreamgirls last night, and just as I thought, this song was the intermission catalyst. It was my favorite moment of the movie. I really came close to getting all teared up. Even if "Brokeback" Jake's version did send me into giggle fits. It's strangely appropriate for his character. I love watching all the Hudson and Beyonce fans pretend they're not going at it on YouTube.
I watched the movie about the goat and the wolf. I remember hearing about it on 4chan and decided to run it through wikipedia and the usual suspects. That goat is adorable, but dang does it look tasty. I don't blame the wolves. The goats are all so plump and rolly. It's a good thing they weren't those feinting goats because then Mei would have been in a real pinch. Those guys tends to pass out for about 10-20 seconds every time they get startled. Someone said the main theme sounded like American Tail, and I have to agree. My only complaints lie in the slightly awkward melodrama of the end and my usual pet peeve with animals walking on their hind legs. They look better when they walk like animals. I can still get the personification. I cried when Mei asked Gabu to eat him because Gabu was just so sad.
I finally found some subbed HanaKimi so maybe I can try getting into that series. The manga is too far for me to catch up. I think HanaDango 2 episode 2 is also out.
For a series that most people watch for sheer amusement factor, there are sure a lot of "fans" trying to instigate some Geass wank. I predict it's only got a few more weeks before things get ugly. Y'all people suck. Either you take the series seriously or you don't. If you don't, then don't bitch about its "logical" aspects. I just don't want Gundam wank in my crack. Poor Lulu. Also, the source image for this icon is probably the best official Geass art I've seen. Even if I can't help thinking "SHINKEN!" when I see Lulu's royal sword in the corner.
