I'm not going to do a real review on Boys Love since it's unfair to judge a piece without understanding it AKA being able to tell what the hell the characters are saying. But I just have to say jeez. Is this all it really takes to win over fangirls? Nayami is not impressed. Tenimiyu boys are lucky they are so pretty. Even the score didn't add anything to this movie. When I can tell what's going to happen in a movie about two minutes before it happens every time and I can't even understand the language, this is not a good sign. Can I write this movie now?
I would like "Dear Myself" more if it took itself seriously. I think the storyline is too flimsy for it to have its characters so exaggerated. I guess I'm most pissed because the idea isn't too bad, and it just gets dumbed down for crappy romance.
I don't care if Geass is pandering in some of its official art such as the latest Animage image, it's adorable. Suzaku has flowers! Graham, have you seen this? I think the boys are off the Kinsey scale in that one. I'm dying here, fellows. By the way, I've finally made up my mind on Lelouch's sexuality. He doesn't care. You're so awesome, Lulu. Plus, his hobby is sewing. Him and Hokuto need to hook up so she can teach him how it's done right instead of gay vampire wear.
Speaking of gay vampire wear, Suzaku of the Counterattack is a hell of a lot better than the Lelouch of the Rebellion manga. The latter is just plain ugly most of the time and only good for the humor panels. I want more "Counterattack" now. I can make icons from Counterattack. I'm still lost as to what sort of storyline either of them are following, but the added SuzaLulu stuff at the school in "Rebellion" Chapter 4 was sweet, and I wish it had been done by the "Counterattack" artist. At least it was somewhat cleaned up for that chapter. It's amusing to see Suzaku and Lelouch actually competing -- Lulu loses of course. And there's just something really emasculating about trying to see who can push themselves the highest on a kiddie swing. The Arthur stuff is also great. He's like their love-kitten awww. I should make icons of him and Lelouch snuggling; Arthur likes Mommy Lulu more than Suza-mama. I'll be damned if I'm making either of them the daddy. Does not compute.

Bidding adieu to 2006

1. WRITE MOAR!! Find some way to manage time or whatever to write again or at least attempt.
2. Take more assertive role in career.
3. Conquer fear of driving to certain places like airports and convention centers.
4. Stop being such a damn chicken when it comes to the Internets.
5. Finish Psychosis. Hah I'm laughing at that too.
Bonus 6. Maybe start Heritage and cosplay some version of Lelouch at an upcoming con.
Still not up for social interaction. A result of semi-sickness and total blindness in one eye. Otherwise I'd be kicking back with CompSci or Dana. Therefore, a random entry is in order.
1. The final volume of Gankutsuou made me cry. Even the hotness of adult!Albert and adult!Lucien couldn't make up for it. I bet Franz would have made an equally hot adult. Gankutsuou is just so sad and perfect.
2. I'm trying to watch DGrayman anime again. I don't know why since if I decide to stick with it, it will be coming out faster than the manga, and I'll have to drop one for fear of spoilers. I think it was the promise that Lavi would be voiced by one of the Hitachin twins. I didn't realize Lavi was the official translation and not just a horrible mistake. That's going to take some getting used to.
3. I want to know if Cantarella is on hiatus and whether it's worth the emotional investment I'm prepared to give it. I love Higuri's artwork, but the stories don't always match up.
4. Yaoi fans should not review Only the Ring Finger Knows. It's not yaoi. It's not meant to be yaoi. It's meant to be cute shonen ai where the guys actually develop feelings for each other and go through your slice of life problems. Yes there's sex but even that's not encompassing. And ugh I hate it when Yuichi is referred to as seme. I don't care if he is, it's just tacky. I'm sad there's only three volumes.
5. I am never again venturing to Angel Sanctuary comms in search of perdy icons. I think I need to reboot my brain after that. For the moment, it's almost entirely teenage Viz readers, which I would normally have no problems with, but when you don't even know who friggin' Cain and Abel are or can't connect the Cain Saga and Godchild...I just don't know what to say to you. Don't get me started on the Lucifer hate and the reasoning that would make clampficrants proud. I just want to gouge out both eyes now.

First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL!
Second, the computer has once again shown it tops me by refusing to let me hook my laptop into the connection here. It's too accustomed to the router so without it, it doesn't want to acknowledge Comcast. This translates to my having to use my grandparents' computer to access the Net, which naturally limits the sites I can view. Specially ones that have a certain naughty word in the middle of their name. XD
Since I managed to lose my camera at home, I opted to ask for an emergency gift for xmas. The old one was nearly three years old anyway, and I really wanted a Powershot. I'm already approving of the faster shutter speed. Bro stole my other xmas presents. Yes, Father finally did break down and buy me my Hiruma I mean Eyeshield 21. It's nice to have a manga Bro and I can both enjoy again. He loves his football. Good thing since I'm football retarded and needed him to explain which position everyone played. I think I'm also starting to understand Shin's character. I might buy more now that I'm down here if I finish the first three fast enough.
I got to see my beloved manatees yesterday. I was surprised since it was pouring for a while there. But then it lightened up and they came out to play. They're so cute. I also talked the family into Sea World and Animal Kingdom later this week because I wanted an animal-themed trip. This was to get back at family for not braving the suicidal trip to Disney World for xmas. It would have rocked too!
I'm getting back to reading my Only the Ring Finger Knows books. I like the way the author does the sex scenes. I also enjoy the great realism of the characters. I had even more fun when my precocious niece called and asked what I was reading. Apparently "a romance" wasn't good enough for her and she wanted to know what it was about. Awkward. Also on the catch-up route, I watched Rokkaku. I loved the Rokkaku team but think I'm seriously missing out on something by not watching the anime episodes of that arc. I wonder if anyone on the miyu comm will be able to provide me with a summary. Hyoutei was still the best part of that miyu.
Final note: Never let your family talk you into visiting a Baptist church. So much agony. If there's one thing I hate, it's being yelled at while in church. They didn't even sing songs, which is my whole point for visiting church. We had Christian rock. -_- I pout now.
