I was going to post about going to see Batman. But that's old hat, and I can just tell people who care. I'm not really in the mood for it actually. My fucking car alarm is broken, I have no food and refuse to go out to eat until I shop tomorrow because someone has an entire fridge of EXPIRED MILK and I was stupid enough to buy only milk products and stupid expected monthly problems are making me feel ill off and on.

But that's ok. Because I had a moment of inspiration today. Two small birds got trapped in my house. I don't know really. I'm completely lost. They must have been here for at least two days since I heard continuous loud chirping but never realized anything was inside until I heard fluttering when I came home today. Now this means that for two whole days my perfectly clawed and vicious cats didn't go after these birds. It would have destroyed me to come home and find a dead bird on the floor. But my cats left them alone. They're fairly young, just past the baby age and not good at flying at all. They hardly even tried to get away when I went to catch them. They let me hold them so I could release them outside and they didn't bite or anything when I picked them up. I was so happy I was able to help them before my cats changed their minds. It almost makes all the other badness of the day/week go away. I wish I could share the pics I took with my cell phone. They are really sweet birds. I think in honor of the movie, I'm naming them Heath and Christian. I needed something like this, I did.

So I spent yesterday at Busch Gardens. My favorites rides were Alpengeist -- it was my first time riding an inverted coast, and I loved it more than I can possibly describe -- and Apollo's Chariot, which was just an insanely fast coaster with about nine awesome drops. I'm sad we got there around 2 because of sucky Washington traffic so I could only ride each of these once.

I also got to chill with wolves Durango and Tala for a while and watch some wolf antics during the show. I enjoyed the show because it was clear that while the wolves had been trained, they were very much their own selves and only did the tricks because they wanted to and not because it was required of them. My favorite was the wolf who did her tricks (mostly jumping up high in the air after a ball or scaling some short logs or just posing on a log) while her trainer waited outside the fence. She was a happy tail-wagging wolf. I forgot to put a memory card in my camera so I sort of failed when it came to pictures. I really wanted one of the artic wolf whelp.

Later I tried to feed some lorikeets because I wanted them to climb on me. They did. About three of them. They also had a tendency to bite so I spent a good 15 minutes in utter fear that they were going to tear off my ears while they licked and gently nipped at them. Another bird hopped on my head while this was going on. Go animal-lover Nayami.

My only souvenir of the trip was a badass looking werewolf with fangs and red glowing eyes that was supposed to symbolize the creatures from the Curse of Dark Kastle ride. I ended up paying $33 for him because he was of such good quality before realizing that he was a howling wolf and someone had pressed his howling button so long that he was now defective. His name is Zero. XD He also has a very fluffy tail. I might post pictures should I remember. He is one wicked-looking plushie. Plus, proceeds from his purchase went to the Busch Gardens wildlife conservation programs.

ETA: I forgot my requisite Geass statement of the day. If you're going to be too damn ignorant to pay attention to the *entirety* of the show and its subtleties, don't waste anyone's time arguing why one character is evil and whatnot. If you want to prove your point, you better come with the canon references to back it up.

For reference.

This has been your "Lelouch is not evil DAMMIT" moment of the day.
