God I really can't stop listening to the SNL skit. It kills me every time. And sure helps get my mind off the fact that the world market is crashing around us, and most of the people it's going to affect the most are just like lol whut's the fed. Oh job, if it weren't for you, I could have that ignorant bliss again too. Le sigh.

Let's quote SNL!

"My goal tonight was a simple one. To come up here and at no point seem like a condescending, egomaniacal bully, and I'm gonna be honest, I think I nailed it. Sure there were moments when I wanted to say, 'Hey, this lady is a dummy!' But I didn't. Because Joe Biden is better than that. I repeat Joe Biden is better than that. So to all of the pundits who said I would seem cocky or arrogant. You dopes got schooled Biden-style."

Watched the OP of RxJ. Dammit, if I didn't already confuse this show with Gankutsuou, the Japanese "You Raise Me Up," which thanks to CFUD's OOC comm is like *the* Franz/Albert song for me, is making things ten times worse.

In other news, I wish to remake the current Geass 300 trailer as it should be. Because as awesome as Suzaku is, ain't nobody can say "TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!" like crazy-ass Zero. With any luck, somebody with more skills and time on their hands will beat me too it, and the result will be a better product.

As I expected, Darker than Black did not win me over with its first episode. Lee reminds me too much of L and I'm not overly interested in the secret powers. I'll give it another go next week and see if anything snags me harder. Romeo x Juliet, on the other hand, was an instant winner, with Zorro!Juliet, flying dragon horses, adorable Benvolio and Albert!Romeo. I'm not sure what's up with the story itself since the Capulets are a bit MIA and I really hope that guy in the beginning turns out to be Paris and not Tybalt, but I like the twist. I don't think I will entirely despise the romance between the main characters this time around.

Ok so I didn't go to sleep. I was adamant on getting the Geass 22 parody. Mission Accomplished! Oww my soul. I'm not sure if I cracked up harder at the way the Lelouch dubber made himself sound retarded spooky when doing geass commands, when the Black Knights each had their own ethnic dialogue or Lelouch's final speech at the end. XD "Bust a cap in her ass" indeed.

... I hate myself now and will probably have nightmares of Lelouch telling the Black Knights to "take these mother fuckers down."

At least I can counter those with the untranslated joy that is the Axel/Roxas Twilight Town scene.

ETA: Naruto continues to hurt me. Who are you people and what have you done to Kishimoto? Sasuke, I'd like you more if I didn't think you were being written by a pod-person. Otherwise you're still prissy so I'll forgive you, as always.

Post to entertain me while I wait for slow-ass D-Grayman 13 filler of crappiness to finish. I only want it to see Rabi telling Allen they should huddle for warmth and then braid Kanda's hair. Then again, I could be watching it just for Rabi. Kanda's not as hot and angsty in the anime as the manga.

Watched Naruto: The Abridged Series. It had some great laughs, but it hit a few fatal flaws. One, true parodies mock the shit out of their characters without convincing fans that the maker truly hates the character. I honestly believe the maker of this has some issues with Sakura. Possibly some pent-up rage against the KakaIru fans too. I won't complain about the constant NaruSaku references or anything that implies Sasuke as straight because that's fan-stuff. But there is a way to tease characters without being a well, bitch. LittleKuriboh has a field day with Bakura and Kaiba, but none of it is ever vicious to the point where it stops being funny. I think it's because Yuugi talking shit to Kaiba is simply crackilicious and therefore can never be wrong. I can see the episodes are starting to get better as they go along, but some jokes last too long or just don't strike the right funny keys. I also wish the maker could attempt the voices, but that's not a parody requirement so it's his choice how to deal. psst fans love the gay jokes. where are the gay jokes?
