Memoirs of the Angst-Bitch

Returnage occurred yesterday but I managed to depress myself with both the final volume of Banana Fish and Godchild 5. More on those later.

The con was actually quite satisfying. I managed to find three Code Geass doujinshi. There were more but they were hentai and wouldn't identify the pairing and I don't play that for the prices those things go for. But one of my pretties involves Suzaku as Prince Charming and Lelouch as Snow White, set up by Milly of course. Card Captor Sakura flashbacks anyone? Also snagged some Ouran doujinshi with Haruhi because I don't think the yaoi booth guy realizes Haruhi's a GIRL. They were still awesome. Oh and a RikuSora with an ultra cute storyline and a surprise smut ending. The other notable purchases were my Suzaku and Lelouch figures -- I stole Suzaku's Lancelot key. I have pictures to show of these, but they aren't pretty since I can't take pictures of myself to save my life.

I will do a full con report later, complete with bitchings about the worst shoujo ai known to man, the CFUD meet-up that mostly consisted of porn origami and doing naughty things to Shrek, the adorable English voice actors and a fan's baby, the cuteness of the Trigun mangaka, the badge crisis line, my wangsting over refusal to pay $22 for the semi-porny cover of Kallen and Shirley, somehow fatally injuring my wrist on Lelouch's chess piece and much much more.

I realized I missed Heroes. ;_; And Daddy won't tell me what happened.

I love the crack that is the cover for Sound File 3. Lelouch looks damn silly in his glasses. Still not as cracky as the sneak peak of the newest sound file chapter. The end reads to me like Suzaku wiped a piece of rice off Lelouch's face and ate it. ... what? The rest is 100% comedy crack though.

While showing Rache some of Geass this weekend, I realized that I really really do enjoy Lelouch/CC even more than I thought. And I was right, Lelouch really is a bastard to Kallen. If he thinks he can get away with it, he seems to enjoy being a bastard. Like I told Rache, Lelouch is a cocky prick with no self-esteem. Impressive, Lulu.

I should be asleep since I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon but I stumbled across fandomsecrets today. Most of these are probably lolz and I accept that. But seriously, fandom, are you really so insecure and anonymous-loving that you have to resort to putting your wangst/hate into pictographic form to bitch? And the general RP whining irritates me for one main reason: RPs ARE NOT FANDOM! They are an extension of fandom yes and may have their own followings but you just can't compare them with the series they are based on. That said, I love RPs and have some great fun with them, but if you spend this much time worrying about an RP (to bitch at it or otherwise talk about how it's ruined your life) you really do need to get out more.

The only thing I've ever regretted about RPing is you can't have it both ways if you're out of school. You can't RP and write original fiction. Well maybe you can if you're better at managing your time. I can't. I need to prioritize but I have too much fun. I figure as long as I've got a job, it's not like I'm completely failing at life. So yeah Nicky, Luce and Erik continue to remain screwed. I continue to have nothing close to an ending for them. And I have no idea when I'll actually begin the story for Ari, San and Isis, despite my thousands of ideas.

The ramblings of this post are exactly why I shouldn't LJ when I'm half-coherent, stressed to the max and going to be AWOL for the next few days.

Also, I hate fandom's obsession with sex and say so OPENLY. You, my friend, are a pussy. Posting to a community that operates on anonymity and "honesty" doesn't make this any less true.

I should note that while I adore AkuRoku beyond words and lap up smutty AUs (as in still in the game universe but not entirely indicative of my true vision of the pairing), I have no false delusions that the two were anything but friends with much UST. Maybe they had a kiss. Maybe. Depends on Roxas mostly. But yeah, serious fics that exist in the game world and spend more time analyzing those aspects than anything else tend to bother me when they bring up sex between the two. It's hard for me to explain since I have this method of differentiating the two types of fiction. Let's just say if you're attempting pure characterization, sex seems...out of character. It really does. Maybe not for other members of Organization XIII but Roxas...he never seemed the most responsive of the lot. Sexing him up would take some real work, and as fond as Axel is, I'm not certain he'd drop his guard enough to take up that burden.

In short, I need someone to talk AkuRoku with now. ;_;

1. Work sucks.
2. Buy new shoes so my feet don't fall off. Also buy double-sided tape for posters and such.
3. Upload Acen pictures and possibly consider con report.
4. Make naughty Axel icon and some version of Sasuke icon and slap the unfaithful for mocking his return
5. Make con post.
6. Possibly make post begging for fic about life in Sound with Sasuke as the petulant prince, ordering around Orochimaru and Kabuto. You know, demanding his iced lattes, bitching about what's on tv, making them sew the Uchiha symbol onto everything he wears, complaining when Oro won't teach him at 4 a.m. and bitch-slapping Sai for interrupting his beauty sleep.
7. Read manga/watch:
-Host Club 5
-XXholic 4-5
-Digimon 2-5
-Princess Princess
8. Anything else life allots time for.
9. Choke IRC for a bit. Because damn Acen made me want to battle my connection yet again. Pity my lack of potions, ether, limit breaks or anything resembling a saving move.
