tempestuously: ([as] the truth will free my soul)
I saw Sweeney Todd. I'm still not sure what my actual reaction was. I think I was surprised that it was that gory, even if the blood did look extremely fake. I have a low tolerance of blood. I also did not like the lyrics to the songs except for "Bit of Priest" because they just repeated themselves to a tune. I did like the music itself though, outside of the songs. "Johanna" is beautiful. I guess I would have liked it better if I liked Todd, but Mrs. Lovett was amazing.

I will probably be spending most of today with Tom. We need to figure out what movie we're going to see. Possibly Golden Compass or the Water Horse. The latter makes me think of Nimrod from the canceled "Surface" and gains extra points. I actually want to go see Enchanted again, but that might be unfair to a guy.

[livejournal.com profile] quebelly and I went shopping, and she helped me find some good sales so that I got 5 nice shirts for less than $50.

I am a bit moody and wonky right now, but I expect Tom will fix that. As long as there are no calls.

In the meantime, here's a great child Geass drabble I found. I will review it as soon as I have time. I have to go to work right now.

Holy hell, Terra e. That was Geass creepy right there. And hey Angsty McNugget AKA Keith is back for the gay sex to avenge his boyfriend and pick up a brand new one come Episode 12. I think Jomy's grown on me. His optimism and good nature is just so adorable. I love how excited he is about people having babies for him. I want Keith and Jomy to meet right now! I also think Keith is looking pretty hot, even if his face design is a little off. Fix it up and put that man in my car! People need to make more Terra e icons.

RxJ 11 has bad animation. Juliet looks like a man in several shots. But aww baaaaby Romeo. I almost typed Albert there. Romeo and Juliet are such dorks. Them and their friggin flowers. And whenever they're being cute around each other, they almost make me cry. Also Cielo. ;_; I seriously hope Romeo got more for that family trinket than two loaves of bread. Someone got mega-ripped off. So when does the angst start?

I was going through Geass fanart links again as I'm wont to do for no particular reason. I noticed Poppo or whatever it's called has some adorable ones of Jeremiah and LuluNana when they're childrens. I love the one where Jeremiah is brushing Lelouch's hair, and Lelouch looks ten kinds of fidgety. My guilty pleasure site is also working on a piece using the Clamp design; I'm very excited. And the site that likes to be very naughty with the boys just put up a double shot of a LuluSuza hug, which is just gorgeous.

I got nothing none as usual, but I did get two new pairs of shoes. Score one for the girly shopping habits.
tempestuously: ([gank] you make me smile)
Work should be short and sweet since I blew all my time in one shot last night. Hence my furious post. Then I got to get to the bank and rearrange some money so that I can purchase me some necessary tickets for Acen and deal with this freaky overage charge that popped out of nowhere. I have a sneaking suspicion it comes from paying other people's bills.

But I am no longer angry. Oh no! Geass finally released their merchandise line, and it's all good. Posters, jackets, clothes, Lancelot key, all I need is a good Lancelot model and I'm good to go awesome they have one of those too. I also still need those talking chibis.

ETA: Newtype and Animage are out. Suzaku finally made top rankings, almost right under Lelouch, in the overall character poll. See, Suzaku, all you have to do is match Lelouch's dickery and you too can be beloved by fans. Even though I'm no Kallen/Lelouch fangirl (more of a Kallen/Zero), I am excited to see what their Ashford novel will be like. Suzaku looks really funktified in the Newtype cover, but Lelouch looks perdy as always. If the scary art of Lelouch with all his important people in his cape ever downloads, I'll be a happy fangirl. I'm probably going to have to find another version of that one.

Oh yeah and Suzaku with Cornelia is pure concentrated AWESOME!

ETA: I spent $300! I knew I shouldn't have bought that damn coat. And I had to have that nifty a gazillion buttons and straps in one thing that was on clearance. Nothing like feeling like a Yugioh character to brighten your day. If only it weren't short-sleeved. But I can still wear it under my super special awesome coat.

The boys are off at a football game so this means I should go shopping. I haven't shopped in several months, and I hate all my clothes. Buying something new should make me feel somewhat better about this.

I think I've finally pinpointed why I clash with the fandom when it comes to relationships so much. Everyone and their dog's ideal vision of a relationship is one that is requited and full of snuggles and smex. While some of my pairings do warrant this, and I seek out adorable fluff for them, many do not. Axel/Roxas? What makes this pairing so good? That it can't be. It's tragic and it gets to the very basics of a relationship in the questions it raises. But yes, as twisted as it is, my ultimate favorite relationships in fiction are the ones that have killer chemistry and would be so perfect for each other, but you know it's always going to be slightly one-sided. Satoshi/Daisuke? Or just plain impossible. Fakir/Ahiru. In my opinion, there's something beautiful about a character who loves, knowing it's a false hope. Franz/Albert? Spike/Buffy? The anime version of the Hitachin twins. Not to say it's any better than the functional and adorable consensual pairings out there. It's just the one I tend to get more emotional invested in. Sadly, it's what draws me to both Clamp and Kaori Yuki. And this is also why I don't want Yun to actually do anything with Soubi/Ritsuka. I'm a sick sick puppy.

EEK! I can't believe I slept in. The stores are going to be packed. So is the bank. I'm screwed!
