I love the new Dr. Who. I am so so glad to finally be rid of Davies and the hack-job he did to Tenant. I think what I love best about Moffat is how he can make the Doctor deliver some powerful lines without making them EPIC and SCREAMING and OMG I AM BEING BADASS. Eleven basically gave Ten's classic IMMA FUCK YOU UP speech in an equally threatening manner without ridiculously ANGRY expressions or growling. I will say that Davies is incredibly creative, but Moffat has the true talent for build-up and execution so that things are exciting and dark without being overly emotionally charged. I also enjoy the distinct lack of cheese factor. I wish Moffat could bring back The Master and do him right. But in the meantime, I'm enjoying Eleven and his specialness. And d'aww his bow tie is just too adorable.

Dentist says I'm crazed. That's unfortunate.

Best books ever! My favorite is "Where did Willy Go?"

I wonder if I'm the only person who silently cringes whenever people reply to an obvious prank post with "Oh it's probably April Fool's." I saw so much of that on the Internet today. Guys, I like laughing at the gullible people, come on. It makes me feel better for totally getting pwned amid CFUD's prank last year. But yeah, there should be two ways to reply to an obvious April Fool's post (whether article or random statement): 1.) FREAK THE FUCK OUT (my personal favorite btw) and 2.) Act as if nothing is out of the ordinary. "I always knew eventually John's Hopkins was going to rename itself John Hopkins because of all the misspelling." It's much more fun that way.

D'aww the story between Lien and the emperor son's son is so cute, even if the guy is an ass.

Also, spot the Doctor Who reference and win a prize.

Let's play the bad news/good news game since I'm bummed out of my so-far two days of computerless misery.

Good News:

How is it that both Naruto and Geass release the crackiest crack that ever cracked on the days that I'm not around to properly squeal about them? That's just not fair. I mean, stripping Zero = L-fucking-OL in every possible way. And AU highschool bad boy Naruto is only a notch below that when it comes to the kill me with laughter ability. I do hope those Geass episode dates they're tossing around are official, even if they are in at the END OF JULY. The agony.

Saw Blood Diamond and Ghost Rider. The best part about the latter was Sam Elliot. Actually, that's about all I can say about that movie since I all but fell asleep. Blood Diamond was a disturbing piece, particularly with the child soldiers. But I really enjoyed the ambiguity of Leonardo DiCaprio's smuggler character, in that circumstances were the only things that ever affected his decisions. All the way up to the end. I'm grateful to see a movie that doesn't rely on cliches and antiheroes but really explores people as people. I also loved his South African accent. Yeah yeah?

Bad News:

Typing on this computer is physically painful because of the position I have to put it in. I had hoped to have a solution by yesterday, but that was not the case. I'm not sure how much backache I'm willing to trade for Netting pleasures. It's definitely a distraction. Boss says he might have something in a few days. But that's the main reason I've been avoiding the Net lately. It's too damn difficult to use the computer.

I wanted to go see Tom this weekend but with his aversion to me coming over on Saturdays and my having an assignment Monday afternoon, I'm not sure how the two are going to mesh. He promises us Doctor Who fun, even though a certain EVIL being who shall remain nameless spoiled the major stuff for me while we were watching the fireworks. To be fair, the wicked IRC channel spoiled most of the Master stuff as well. But if I can convince Tom to give me Saturday, I might have to make a choice that will irk me far more than it should. Ah the perils of being part of a group.

The weeds are returning to my garden. I need mulch.

ETA: First ow. Second, so the dates are confirmed. And third, grr snarl my beautiful phone conversation. ;_; At least it can still be tragic and bittersweet on Lelouch's part. Also, GameFAQs is right, why the hell do the magazines always imply Lelouch will point a gun at Suzaku? He knows Suzaku will just dodge it. Sigh.

All right, in considerable less pain from weeding, somewhat more "here" and completely procrastinating about my work. Also, I think I broke both parts of my laptop that hold up the monitor screen and have no idea how. Rock on.

Going to have to take Operation: Drama CDs to the next level and stop being a chickeny chicken of wussitude.

Caught up on Dr. Who. Have to say, I really dislike 10. Maybe it's because 9 was my first and his jubilant attitude more appealing than spastic and bitter 10. Maybe because 9 and Rose weren't so annoying together. Maybe because 9 wasn't so "I CAN FIX EVERYTHING WITH MY SHEER AWESOME" ALL THE TIME. Maybe it's because 9 is Capt. Jack's real Doctor. For whatever reason, 10 has never grown on me. Oh he has his moments but overall I still miss 9. Also, the only Doctor/Rose moments I could ever stand with 10 were the Season 2 Finale because that was well written. But the PINING in Season 3 makes me want to gut Davies. As for Martha, maybe if she wasn't so instantly smitten, I'd be more tolerant of her, but her sole purpose seems to just show how much the Doctor misses Rose. Well, you know what? I DON'T CARE. Rose is gone. Get over it. Move on. Bring her back. Whatever. That said, Martha and Capt. Jack bonding over how the Doctor will never love them, now that is cute. I'm done bitching and just going to talk about Season 3 now )

Ok so maybe in Terra e Jomy and his new friend got off on the wrong foot, but I'm sure they'll be just fine. Enter my delusional world here. Not really. )

Also watched some Red Garden and some series about a bodyguard. Red Garden looks interesting but the music is a definite NO. As for the latter, it's interesting but looks a bit slower than my tastes. I might pick it up later on or so.
