tempestuously: ([gank] you make me smile)
Work should be short and sweet since I blew all my time in one shot last night. Hence my furious post. Then I got to get to the bank and rearrange some money so that I can purchase me some necessary tickets for Acen and deal with this freaky overage charge that popped out of nowhere. I have a sneaking suspicion it comes from paying other people's bills.

But I am no longer angry. Oh no! Geass finally released their merchandise line, and it's all good. Posters, jackets, clothes, Lancelot key, all I need is a good Lancelot model and I'm good to go awesome they have one of those too. I also still need those talking chibis.

ETA: Newtype and Animage are out. Suzaku finally made top rankings, almost right under Lelouch, in the overall character poll. See, Suzaku, all you have to do is match Lelouch's dickery and you too can be beloved by fans. Even though I'm no Kallen/Lelouch fangirl (more of a Kallen/Zero), I am excited to see what their Ashford novel will be like. Suzaku looks really funktified in the Newtype cover, but Lelouch looks perdy as always. If the scary art of Lelouch with all his important people in his cape ever downloads, I'll be a happy fangirl. I'm probably going to have to find another version of that one.

Oh yeah and Suzaku with Cornelia is pure concentrated AWESOME!

Your random bitchy comment for the day. Seriously people, if you cannot spell any other name in Code Geass, there is no excuse for misspelling Lelouch. It's in the friggin' title. In English. On every episode. I went back to check my raws before this. Are you blind? This would be like misspelling Naruto. There is no second E. There *is* an O. I don't want to think about how much worse fans can futz this up. It's such a minor thing that I shouldn't care, but as there is so little fanfic, it saddens me to see the main character's name spelled wrong in half of them.

I'm going to wait for RxJ and Darker than Black to be subtitled before I get into them. Following both raws and subtitles takes too much time. Geass was a special case.

Mmm, I think "Breath" by Breaking Benjamin has become my new post-23 theme. Very manic. Possibly Suzaku-POV? I like "So sacrifice yourself, and let me have what's left" and "I'm waiting, I'm praying, realize, start hating" the best. I originally wanted it for my header image lyrics, but it didn't fit the image. I think I have a good Suzaku icon to text up now though. Perhaps the one with his angry knight self, his dead-eyed hatred at the end of 23 or that new Cornelia/Suzaku image. I need to stop choosing rock songs for Geass. It's my need for something violent.

As always, lyrics because I love them. )

All those things I said I was going to do didn't get done because I decided to go off on another one of my fruitless SuzaEuphieLulu or LuluEuphie hunts. Found nothing naturally, but I did happen across a gem of its own.

http://alice.x0.com/: Not only does this site have one of the hottest original outfits for Lelouch ever, but it centers on Cornelia. Before this site, I would have said the cutest thing in Geass is Euphie. Now I know it to be child!Cornelia. Young!Cornelia/Young!Guilford takes third place. I should warn though, this site is much of the incest. Cornelia gets around. At least she looks like she wants to punch Lulu in the face in some of these.

I also saw Bambi II, which I expected to suck. It didn't. It wasn't really the usual Disney sequel fare in that it was sweet but not syrupy (I could have done without Thumper's sisters). The storyline of Bambi trying to win his father's approval and trying to find his own inner strength was touching, I admit it. I liked the movie. It was pretty and had nice music. I think I liked it better than the original Bambi because the original Bambi has very little dialogue, and I prefer the actual novel either way. Bambi II I could almost entirely distance from the novel and enjoy it on its own merits. Ok I think I've gone on long enough about the kiddie movie now.

ETA: I lied. I link to the pretty lyrics of the Bambi II songs now. They're far too happy for my soul, but I don't mind. They make me smile. Also, the third song isn't as great as the other two since it's a bit poppy, but when combined with the scenes from the movie it's all right. I'm too lazy to find OST so I just mooch off YouTube.

That's right, LJ, you my bitch. Try and take away my pretty Geass background again, why don't you?
